  1. He netted the rebound from a rebound
  2. Simpson & Taylor the right flank is what I meaning Yeah he can be, he scored in midweek a rebound from his own penalty miss. rebound from a shot by Achille Emana
  3. I'd go with Enrique and Simpson on the flanks. Which is what I f***ing said in the first place I was just pointing out that Geremi could play RB rather comfortably if all else fails. And he's a goal threat.
  4. That will do against a Forest team that does not have a settled forward line. Losing Taylor is a blow as he is our best cb & a goal threat for us. WE DO NOT WANT TO PLAY GEREMI AT RIGHT BACK!!! Forest have been using strikers with pace on the flanks & they would destroy Geremi, good idea about 4 seasons ago though Mourinho thought so, 3 seasons ago Taylor = goal threat Mourinho played Diarra at right back as well. He also gave Geremi a free & said somethings to Bobby about Gezza: "SIR Bobby Robson says he tried to warn Newcastle United off signing Geremi. Robson claims Jose Mourinho - then manager of Geremi's club Chelsea - told him the 29-year-old Cameroon international's best days were behind him last summer. He says he informed his old club - only for Sam Allardyce to sign Geremi AND make him captain. But after a disappointing start to his Newcastle career, Allardyce stripped Geremi of the captaincy last month and handed the armband to Alan Smith. Sir Bobby, writing in his Mail on Sunday column, said: "Jose Mourinho told me last season that Geremi's legs had effectively gone. "'Mister, he plays like a 40-year-old. He can not run any more. He will not play for me in important matches again,' was Jose's typically forthright response. " Since Taylor scored his 1st league goal in the 2006/7 season he has scored 8 league goals, Lovenkrands in the period of time has scored 9. You were spouting that Loverkrands was a good finisher his record proves otherwise. All I am saying he is a threat, his 4 goals last season for a CB in a team that went down shows this. Lovenkrands is a good finisher, he's just good at nowt else basically. Geremi would be very comfortable at right back against Nottingham f***ing Forrest man. I don't see how Mourinho saying 'He will not play for me in important matches again' relates to us playing him in the championship for one game.

  6. Geremi is a good option for RB as far as i'm concerned. Butt for CB is a bad idea, given that he can't tackle, head run or generally make any impression other than a completely negative one.
  7. Simpson Khiz Colo Enrique is adequate. Jonas and R Taylor in front of the full backs gives a lot of defensive cover.
  8. time for more loans I guess. I'd go all out for Benjani now.
  9. Pav's against Everton tbh. Shaka vs Liverpool. that was a great save actually, right in front of me. Fantastic agility from Shaka
  10. The only time I can ever remember Harper really being lauded with praise was after the 2-2 at Boro during 98-99. He made just about best save i've ever seen from an NUFC keeper that day, even better than Shay's against Gudjohnsen and Chris Perry.
  11. In 2000 he was genuinely a very good goalkeeper tbh. Brave, excelllent handling, good shot stopper and very good distribution. He's past that stage sadly, but he's still premiership quality for me.
  12. Solano arrived a year afrer finishing 2nd and looked a good signing pretty quickly. He also cost only £2.4m
  13. i thought he was nowhere to be seen, especially in the first half. He is sh**e to be fair. His channels of running are wrong he cannot finish for sh** he is very inefective as a striker, don't get me started as a winger! And rememebr he wasn't even commited when we went down, he was looking for other teams, when they realised he was pi** poor they didn't sign him... stupid post tbh he's a good finisher and a pretty decent striker because of that and his acceleration. He has nowt else going for him though and should never be played on the wing ever again.
  14. considering Harewood is a much better player and Carroll suits his style of play better than other strikers, the attack picks itself. I can see Hughton fucking it up again though.
  15. Harper Simpson Taylor Coloccini Enrique Taylor Smith Nolan Jonas Harewood Carroll Honestly, that's the only lineup i'd trust to score goals right now
  16. How on earth does 4-5-1 with Ranger up front alone work? We've played it twice and looked no attacking threat whatsoever.
  17. Harper's little more than a good solid keeper, but there's very little between him and Foster, I know who make less mistakes.
  18. Yep. Just cos Harewood's strong doesn't mean he's going to hold the ball up as well as Carroll, for example. In Harewood and Lovenkrands, we've got two 'off-the-shoulder' strikers (if that's what you wanna call it, you know what i mean - 'second' strikers...) and it didn't work. Not to be pedantic, but a second striker is something completely different. A second striker will drop deep and attempt to create a la Bergkamp Sheringham, Bellamy and Baggio. You were right the first time though, Harewood's an on the shoulder type. If we can employ somelike like Carroll to do the chasing and muscling, big Marlon will fly.
  19. even at 02:16 Frazzle's up trying to make friends
  20. I'm going to donate for the first time. Why hasn't some form of sponsorship been seeked?
  21. It's certainly not the best squad. In terms of depth, I think it comfortably is tbh.
  22. We have the best squad in my lifetime and possible the best manager, I really can see us winning it.
