  1. wish Mark Lawrenson could see that the next time he goes on about our 'awful defence' but yes it is worrying, we all know we need at least 1 20 goal striker
  2. Man utd a better team than Liverpool?
  3. you deserve it with your ignorance of our team, needing a CB before a LB and RB??? you silly boy That's my personal opinion. Put it this way, i would rather carr or babayaro starting for my team then titus bramble. your opinion is shared by many, which is actually quite sad considering the amount of ability Bramble has in relation to a waste of space like Carr or Baba

  5. 1.Chelsea 2.Liverpool 3.Arsenal 4.Man utd 5.Spurs 6.Newcastle (7th-8th unless we sign a stiker, 5th if we get a striker and Bridge) Aston Villa (without signings) Sheffield Utd Watford Henry and Sheva will both finish on 25
  6. can't belive so many have predicted other than Chelsea for 1st place they have 25 players that would get into any Xl in the world
  7. Do we really need a right-winger that badly? could be a great investment though

    Martin O'Neill

Got to be honest, he seems like a bigger annorack than Roeder good manager thought in fairness, pissed off he said no to us but considered Boro
  9. agree with that, but in fairness, Kuyt's power in the box could surely be used to better effect in the premiership
  10. i seen him play most of last season, and in the world cup, but still dont think he is worth the gamble, as he is unproven at the highest level, and although he may have scored alot of goals for feyenoord, Kezman scored over 40 goals in a season in Holland, for PSV, and look whats happened to him. For me, like i have said, he is just not worth the risk of spending another £10m+ on someone who may not cut it in the premiership. But its all about opinions and everybody has one Kezman failed because he didnt have the physical presence for the premiership and Chelsea's style of play, kuyt is more ideal for the prem than the eredivise imo its all about opinions, and i respect yours, but mine is that he is not worth the gamble because there is a chance that he may not cut it in the premiership, and we should go for a proven premiership striker, is all i'm saying but where's the risk in that? i'm thinking back to the summer of 2001

    Michael Owen

what more could he have done though? retire from international football? burn an england shirt in public? marry St James Park? wear nothing but a Newcastle shirt every single day? play with a broken foot? play while unfit? pull out of the World Cup? Well I didn't think the forum could reach an all time low but not only have you stepped over the line, you've jumped over it about 8 feet. saving himself for england? I don't know if you've realised but last time I checked, Glenn Roeder picks the team not Michael Owen. He thought it best to leave Michael Owen out not Michael Owen. showing up fit in training? that's because it was 2-3 weeks after the Premiership had finished and he had had time to get fit. Also he was fit for us in training as well it just wasn't as publicised, he just didn't train as a precaution no responsibility? he accepted that he wasn't playing at his best but he was hardly playing bad. he had nothing to take responsibility for and nothing to apologise for, the team weren't creating him chances. the change was tactical. we were playing the long ball and it doesn't suit him, we were under pressure and so needed to pack the midfield. ffs I don't know what some newcastle fans think Owen is but he is a decent bloke and he wouldn't use the club. he isn't some evil little man who takes money from us then goes home and sits in his layer laughing it up. The broken foot wasn't his fault, the knee injury wasn't his fault, him becoming fit for england but not newcastle isn't his fault, it's what happens when you come back from injury, you gradually build fitness. Lay off the bloke ffs. 7 goals in 10 games yet everyone hurls criticism at him. he is the best striker England have and one of the best in the world, I for one would hate to see him leave and I hate anything bad happening to him on the pitch. to be honest, there is no way he is better than Rooney, even the die hards have to admit that. Owen's record: 5 international tournaments, 6 goals Rooney's record: 1 international tournament, 4 goals (that info is for all those who will claim Owen is a better GOALSCORER)
