Not really true of anyone on here that I can think of.

Maybe in the 3 times they gave him the chance they decided he wasn't captain material. If it was a race thing why did they bother giving him the armband once? Let alone 3 times? Are they the racist version of people who only smoke sociably? He's not captain material but they let him captain the side on three separate occasions? How does that even make sense? But the fact he did captain the side 3 times means there wasn't any racism anyway? I hope you see how it's very easy to use an excuse at any turn. If Jonathan Woodgate had managed 73 caps, i'm certain he would've captained England more than 3 times and wouldn't have been overlooked in favour of Michael f***ing Owen. Aye, right. A player with a criminal record and a history of smashing glasses over his head in Middlesbrough would get the nod to captain England over (rightly or wrongly) one of the first names on the teamsheet with a squeaky-clean image. You're surpassing yourself big time in this thread. because Steven Gerrard, Tony Adams and John Terry are squeaky clean. It does seem ridiculous, like. Picking players who are both natural leaders and guaranteed starters to be captain. Wise up.

Virtually every side from these shores to win the PL or do well in the CL has had a British spine. It's underestimated just how important it is having players who are well tuned to the technical and physical demands of the league.
-
It's the same 4 or 5 posters who are stupidly overcritical of English players all the time. It's embarrassing.
-
Will he actually be starting for Australia? He's never looked better than League One level (at best) when I've seen him.
-
Well that'll leave 3 CBs when Colo leaves and you can guarantee whoever they bring in is likely to be better than Williamson and more reliable than Taylor.

Sherwood isn't exactly a classic example of a classy individual I think he over-played his hand when he gave that public bollocking to his players and started talking about them playing for their futures. As a caretaker, he needed to be a bit more circumspect. He's not a caretaker, though.
-
What did he say?
-
Course he would. Everyone on here knows we need a defender with significant PL experience, leadership capabilities and physical stature. Certain posters would prefer a defender who finished 3rd in some obscure league who they've seen play once or twice. Predictable as fuck.
-
Typical Mole garbage. Needs to know how to position himself.
-
I'm just glad I didn't put big money on us to win.
-
I would be aroused if I thought we had a real chance. Very good defender but too expensive for our lowly club.
-
Or tell the truth whenever they want and not be at risk of lawsuits.

My Barca, PSG, Wigan treble couldn't have come much closer to failing, like. 88 mins gone and both were drawing.
-
Don't think Barca will go much further, mind.
-
He often looked out of place in our side.
-
I remember proudly telling my Sixth Form ICT teacher that I wouldn't be at school for the last 2 days of the week because of the Marseille away semi. He was a top guy looking back but it felt good to piss him off like that.
-
Steven Taylor's captained us 3 times, man. Shut up.
-
This needs to stop. You'll find very few people in football who speak about Sol Campbell like he was captain material. Takes a special kind of idiot to go along with this racial nonsense.
-
That was brilliant.
