Photo and a convo where he said forget about tactics, formations etc. any Pardew side would play liquid football. I called him from the start and did so even when we were riding 'high' in 5th. The man is a fraud and easily our worst manager in the time I've been following us. That's fine, but we all softened on him and gave him credit.

Mate, come on, you went to a talk-in and got his autograph or whatever.

Well, you've implied I reacted positively to Hughton's sacking and Pardew's appointment, which is completely false, as you've partially just acknowledged. If you look hard you'll find a tongue-in-cheek reference to sunbed sessions after the Liverpool game and some fair praise of Pardew a few months down the line. Go for it.
-
Who said he did a crap job? I said he only really played attacking football at home in the Championship, which is completely true. I was one of the few on here to endorse the decision to give Hughton the job permanently in October '09. And at the time he was sacked I said it was the wrong decision unless we got someone in better, which should've been a distinct possibility. When Pardew was confirmed as his replacement I made it clear it was a ridiculous move and even (stupidly) said we should throw bricks at him for the Liverpool game. Though like everyone my stance on Pardew softened over time with results. Same as yourself and even Mick and HTT. Basically, you're confused or making things up. I agree.

Agree with this. Load of nonsense recommending former players unless they demonstrated exceptional leadership and charisma or strength of personality, really. Even then it's like throwing darts blindfolded.
-
The results don't back that up at all, man.
-
Beat Villa 6-0 and the mackems 5-1 in his first few months as a PL manager, in the days before we stopped attacking and shut up shop when 1 or 2 goals clear. At home we were beaten by Blackpool, Stoke and Blackburn and drew against Wigan and Fulham. A defensive approach was blamed for most of these results. Anyway, now's not the time to kick the dog.

Disco'll be after ya.
-
He had a window of opportunity to at least attempt that last month and slammed it shut with a fine.
-
We were attacking at home in the Championship, certainly.
-
Not the time, but that's bollocks.
-
Their ambition is to stay up, one would think.
-
Very few of our lot excel at anything, tbh.
-
He was generally very good for us and good for Spurs while past his peak.
-
Great bloke but they should've sacked him at least 4 months ago. He's a terrible manager. Looking at it from a different perspective, the Norwich fans wanted him out and were vocal about it. Our fans used to be like that.
-
Don't think there's any scope for an argument. He didn't 'piss all over the league' at any point during his Spurs career.
-
Who said that? Winning the Worthington Cup (or whatever it was called) and getting a daft award doesn't change the fact he most certainly wasn't as good as KI makes out.
-
I'd rather have Shearer and Dowie back.
-
And I could go on with the numbers, but I won't. Ginola had a great game every now and then but 'taking the piss out of league' is something to be said for Shearer, Drogba, Ronaldo, Henry or Suarez.
-
The highest Spurs finished when Ginola was there was 11th, I think.
-
Thread title. Though 'not' should be replaced by 'isn't'.

I've really gotten to you at some point haven't I? You'll get over it sugar, be strong xx I'll echo that sentiment to you the next time someone criticises Gouffran for his umpteenth shite performance and you react like they've just urinated on your mum's face.

A 1 in 2 striker, don't forget.
