I understood the decision to drop him with Ba on fire and his form dipping and Pardew opting just 1 up front. But he's always had great control all around - foot,chest and head - and a good shot. If he doesn't actually have a reason, and genuinely believes this is the best way to set out with the players available, the criticism is more justified.
