He 100% suits our profile - in the current set up he plays on the right of midfield - essentially is the Longstaff upgrade we crave - can play as a 6 or alongside Tonali in a 2 - you can play Big Joe as LWF - there is so much flexibility 

I want 5 midfielders competing - Bruno - Tonali - Big Joe - Willock - Ederson with Miley and Anderson continuing their development and coming in and out - even bigger bonus if we qualify for Europe 

There’s no time for sentiment - I don’t want Longstaff as 5th choice - sell him and move on

Not sure we will sell Longstaff as he is one of a few homegrown players that is over 21 which helps with European competitions

If we want to compete high up then the likes of Longstaff are surplus to requirements in the summer - doesn’t cut it

LM or LWF - technically he’s very good - really tidy footballer - so much going for him if he stays clear of injuries - him and Miley have been 2 class promotions from the Academy

There's definitely some really interesting players for that right side and so hopefully we get it right.

His game is very similar to Messi when he was on the RW - I mean Leo is, Leo,  but the approach is very similar - he has an eye for a pass and for a little guy packs some power in his shots - seems really intelligent in his play

Yep - all you said is that there were some rumours.

He’s a quality player - there’s plenty of RWs to chose from - I personally think Kubo is the best of the lot

He’s strong, quick, not afraid to put a tackle in, canny passer and has an eye for a goal - the final piece in our midfield jigsaw, you replace Longstaff with him then you have a strong 5 in Tonali, Bruno, Joe, Joe and Ederson with Anderson and Miley developing nicely in the background  - ai really do hope we sign him
