This - we ‘seemed’ all in on one player with the price increasing with every bid - we all knew the issues we had - 2 priority positions needed strengthening - CB/RW - it was a must - we got neither - there were players out there

The club isn’t United - that’s the biggest worry I have - or that’s what it seems - everyone (fans included) is biting each other This club, when it is at its best, is united on all fronts

I said it before possibly in another thread - the summer has basically seeped into the season - we didn’t strengthen, instead have regressed - none of this Tonali is a new player bollocks, Willock is fit etc We had a shitshow of a summer in every which way - that’s down to a lack of leadership at the top - you can’t just say the expectation is Europe whilst standing still with the personnel we have - where’s the motivation for the players? Where were the ambitious signings that keep everyone on their toes? To have Dan Burn (not his fault) as our starting CB in not acceptable - to not have a RW in unacceptable - they were priority positions - non negotiable

We stood still in the summer CB CM RW needed refreshing - we couldn’t do it

It’s actually really worrying - we simply haven’t evolved - to play a flat 3 you need to be good in possession - we can hardly string a couple of passes together it seems - the fact that he’s making subs after 45 mins now suggests to me that EH is getting worried - that’s not a good sign either

This a million times over - Bruno and Tonali hold - then Willock or Big Joe in front to support Isak We simply can’t continue with a flat 3 - it’s hurting us

Getting back to Neymar - I think it’s no coincidence with him there they’ve become Hollywood Brazil - I used to love Brazil - everything about them seemed genuine - their own unique style - since Neymar arrived all that changed - yes he has X amount of goals but in my view he didn’t carry the mantle - yes you can say the same about Zico (he didn’t deliver the big one), but Brazil never wavered from who they were when he played.

They had a fantastic player in Neymar to build a team around - bloke turned to become a complete tosspot of a person - filtered through the squad
