Tell me what Barnes has done wrong to lose his spot to Gordon - I simply don’t get it - Gordon plays for himself - can’t pass, can’t take a man on that isn’t from Europes 3rd tier, can’t link up - but not to worry, he has read 3 books on phycology this year alone

If we replaced him with iShowspeed we’d not notice anything different

I’d rather play Barnes on the left - he brings both Hall and Big Nick into the game - Gordon seems to just play for Gordon these days Granted the way we play (lack of pressing) hurts his game massively

Our performances Aug to Dec as I said after the Leverkusen game have been well below standard Recruitment has been an issue - so many players underperforming - tactics are non existent - pressing/passing/set pieces not good We are in a rut and in need of some form of boost but I don’t see where it’s coming from

My gripe is we failed to create a chance in the 90 against this lot - unforgivable Our pattern of plays are so boring now

Nothing wrong with the name - Muslim gives his son a muslim name - I don’t get the big deal? It’s a very common name in our religion

I will regrade to average which actually in the performance-ometer is fair - there’s enough time for us to move to good which should see us where we need to be I really hope we can kick on as it’s been up and down all season

I said we’ve been poor (not shit) and listed a number of areas as examples - I can only go off the sample size of Aug-Dec and I don’t think within that period my eyes have deceived me - I can say based on what I have seen - maybe I should have used the term average - we’ve not been good in this period and everyone can see that surely

By the standards we have set the last 3/4 years - we have been poor - I don’t think you can escape that - I haven’t seen any consistency that tells me that our trajectory is leading us to what I deem a successful season for us (top 6 etc) - Can that change? Of course it can - when things have gone well - I have praised the staff and players and when they haven’t you can criticise also - you can only judge based on what you see and we’ve been poor from Aug to Dec

Have you seen our corners when everyone is at the back post and the bloke taking the corner underhits it to the front post At this stage I am of the opinion we haven’t got a fkn clue what we are doing - go back to basics and deliver the ball near the penalty spot - then work from there It sums up what a shambles we have been this season - we can’t even do basics properly - poor defending, poor passing, poor positional play, poor attacking, poor set piece deliveries, poor decision making, poor subs, poor team selection, poor recruitment and poor results

Take the sample size of Aug to Dec rather than last 2 weeks - it’s not a good look

Leverkusen almost scored from one of “long throws” yesterday when Tino barely got it into the box

Barnes as LW should never have been changed imo - if Gordon wants a game then he should be shifted to the right I’ll go back to Elanga - Isak or no Isak there was no need to buy him specifically - it’s killing us

2 flaws - an attacking 8/10 and a left footed technical winger on the right - the 8/10 you have in Bruno - I also think Miley has in his game - the RW we don’t and the fact that he chose to play Barnes there yesterday should set the alarm bells ringing

I know I sound like the biggest broken record ever, but I feel that the entire team in under stress because our midfield is totally set up the wrong way - it doesn’t connect to the defence, doesn’t connect to the 2 wide forwards and it doesn’t connect to the #9 - it’s why we look like we do It’s also putting strain on the midfielders too - neither Tonali - Bruno - Big Joe have had good seasons - all been a level below Until the shape of that midfield is tweaked, we will continue to look and play like a mid table team
