I would add Murphy Put Tino and Gordon to one side (and the two nonsense keepers) To think as of now we have Pope - Trippier - Krafth - Schar - Burn - Willock - J Murphy (and to a point Lascelles and Targett) is incredible - absolute amateurish squad build

This - the club cuts it’s final choice to say 4 - based on scouting, analytical work, background checks - they meet with Eddie (over a period of time) - collectively decide that “player 2” is the one for this position and is attainable - then press ahead I’d also like to the think the DoF and his team are looking at players within our squad and assessing their relative merits Really all this should have been in place after the winter window and constantly reviewed

This is very true - you also need 2 inverted wingers and full backs that can overlap of offer an attacking threat Our approach is literally side to side - the 2 LWs come inside and shoot - the 2 on the right go to the touchline - it’s so obvious a tactic - rinse and repeat - there’s literally no connection between midfield and forwards - everyone is doing their own stuff

If we concede the exact same goal to Brighton next week for the X game in a row against them …..

I think the structure of the club on the footballing side needs changing in the summer - the Sporting Director HAS to be more accountable - he leads the footballing strategy of the club That doesn’t mean he is at loggerheads with the manager - I think they get on - but he owns who comes in and out, where we finish - he makes the appointments Its a massive flaw in the club as we’ve not really had stability at DoF level since really the takeover - you need a guy in post for at least 4 years at a time as a minimum - we’ve had 5 in 5 years pretty much - no wonder we are all over the place
