I’m Finn and I watched the game yesterday. At the same time Woltemade and Sane came in, Finland switched to 5 defenders and after that it was absolutely pointless for both teams till the end. Wolte did play as number nine. There was absolutely no space there anymore but he did keep his position pretty well there.

Slot sacked

I remember from that Primevideo series that Amanda was the one who really wanted to sign Gordon and convinced all parties that it’s worth the money. And it really was. Sorry if mentioned already, so much to read. I’m delighted for him, it’s win-win for both him and us. This is how these should go, not like rat refusing to train.
-
When Gordon goes club will want to invest money quickly (or even before confirmed). Who do you reckon we will go for?

Interest from Barcelona could cause Bayern to pay more. After Bayern bosses constantly saying Barcelona is broke, it could end up Bayern paying more than they originally were willing - just to make a point. I would accept Ferran Torres as part of the deal. And maybe Casado.

We are going to need 8-9 new signings next summer with him. GK, RB, CB, DM, CM, LW, RW, STx2 Ramsdale, Schär, Trippier, Tonali, Willock, Gordon, Woltemade, Wissa, Elanga gone. Nearly impossible, but have to get it 100% right. Otherwise it’s going to be this all over again and then Hall, Bruno, Livramento and Thiaw all could leave (if not already).
-
Problem is that only Bayern can pay over £40 million for player and I doubt Woltemade will be on their first choice. Only loan deal wlth buy option (similar to Jackson) is probably best we can get. Unless he has wonderful World Cup. There is not many teams outside England that pays over 40 for player these days.
-
That’s so depressing and I’m glad for him when he’s gone. Is it possible there is some clause in his transfer fee which is activated after 10 league goals or something similar to that? It makes no sense he’s not playing at all.
-
Have we been linked to any actually exciting players? We just need not to compete with cartel clubs (we lose), not buy shit players from Prem (Wissa, Elanga), no more mediocre players and no players that don’t fit at all to our game plan. Hopefully our back-up list is long this summer. It’s really worrying that most of us here knew Elanga will flop and our management didn’t. How can we be better at this?
-
We have had horrible season and Wolte has suffered most from it (but others too). We should consider about Stuttgart manager Hoeness, not just because of Wolte, but because he can build solid attacking play with very limited type of players.
-
He has chance to leave as legend rather than being sacked. I think he will walk
-
Sebastian Hoeneß doing great job at Stuttgart, very likely to get bigger job soon. He was linked to Dortmund about year ago, which is funny considering who is his father. If Kovac leaves Dortmund (been linked to England), he is very high on their list. However it’s not great having manager who would jump to Bayern at first possibility.

This is so embarrassing

Clearly learned thing or two from Trump
-
We should just sign Undav
-
If you go look at FotMob how he played prior to us: Germany U21 he had his best games as winger on 4-3-3. He also played 4-4-2 as other striker. Stuttgart he played number 9 or 10 in 4-2-3-1 (he did well with Undav as both played 9 and 10) and striker at 4-4-2. He did not play as lone 9 at all, they always have close support from 10 or other striker He has not played as 9 in 4-3-3. He’s much better when playing in different role and I don’t understand why we keep him in that role. We paid ridicolous money on player who made breakthrough only last season. But it’s NOT Nick’s fault we went ridicolous. I wish we had bought him for £15m and he would have less pressure.
-
You are right on that and I should have been more precisive what I meant. It was more that there are many vocal fans here and elsewhere against him and press in England is very harsh compared to Germany.
-
I’ve said it before and will say it again. He’s much like Thomas Müller, who is absolutely brilliant player. Woltemade is either really useful and important to us or completely useless. I want to see him longterm but we are not playing with our players strengths and Tonali is other prime example of that. It’s not nice and motivating environment for players if fans turn so quickly against them.
-
I’m pretty sure that would have happened to every single striker we were after last summer. It happened to Wissa too. If you don’t have clear plan and instructions how to move, it’s really hard, especially in new league and country.
-
It’s not really hard math seeing Bayern or Dortmund going for him next summer. Kane probably wants back to Prem for his last years and Guirassy off to Saudis (hopefully).
-
To be fair it’s not easy being striker at this team, same goes for Woltemade. Isak would have not scored double figures if he was still here. Either one of our strikers did not get pre-season and we don’t seem to have basic plan for attacks.
-
Woltemade is not straight 10-position player, just like Thomas Müller isn’t too. But when you find right role and players around, his abilities becomes excellent for us. Bayern will come around soon if he’s not happy. He is not seen as replacement for Kane, it’s Müller they think about.
-
I absolutely love Eddie, but I do have bad feeling that he has taken us as far as he can and ideas are not working anymore
-
My thoughts exactly. I don’t have problem admitting I was wrong. He has great chance with Germany. Rüdiger is almost done and the main competition is Schlotterbeck and Tah. Tah’s turning 30 in few months. Anton and Koch also 30 next year and Thiaw should be ahead of them if keeps on developing like this.
