Seskos profile and stats are very similar to Isak when we bought him. Isak previous 3 seasons in La Liga: 6 goals (21/22) - 6th La Liga 17 goals (20/21) - 5th 9 goals (19/20) - 6th = 32 goals Sesko: 13 goals (24/25) - 7th - Bundesliga 14 goals (23/24) - 4th 16 goals (22/23) (Salzburg) = 43 goals (weaker league Salzburg) Not comparable, but same profile. Bundesliga less games.

If Bayern declde to move Kane this summer, they might go after. I would try to negotiate fee + player from PSG

I was one of them who brought up Sesko and tbf it does seem like a situation we don’t want to be part of. Either he wants us or doesn’t - and it’s really clear which one is happening. Even if we sign him, it’s either going be very expensive flop or his agent going all in getting him new contract or pushing him to other clubs in 1-2 years. Rather get someone who has that experience in bigger clubs and just wants to find a great place to play for longer. Someone like Goncalo Ramos or Kolo Muani. I know we are looking for young developing players but with this one, I would rather take few years more experience and feeling that player is not just using us.

Muniz is type of player we should be looking at. He is just one season away being Wissa/Pedro and high value. If not, then not a big price. We should be looking at players with right abilities and potential.

There is actually pretty decent choices depending on what we want. Jackson is obviously overpriced but Kolo Muani is only 26 and could come much cheaper. There is also Goncalo Ramos who is only 24. Few years ago many would have wanted them, they are just one move away from being great again. I would love to get Sesko. But with agent like that every summer is going to be circus.

Torres not available and not option

Absolutely everything screams for him going ManYoo. The absolutely most depressing part is that we see all these excellent, young and potential players signing for our direct rivals - something that would probably not happened if we did not go for them. It’s really really depressing because all this comes against us for years.

If Isak was still considering staying, after that it’s very easy byebye. And I can’t blame him or any other for that.

That’s just horrible. I do hope we are just as hopeless to sign him as other players.

I have distant memory that he and/or his agent was here years ago before going Leipzig. Probably been already in this thread, sorry for that. But could work in our favour that we’ve been tracking him long.

All our options have signed for other club, Barcelona, Man City and PSG. I’m almost certain we are not in market for GK this summer.

It’s either Wissa signing new improved contract or signing for us. Can’t see other option (unless Chelsea offer £80m and sign him for their reserves top striker for £300k per week) Either way next week we will know.

This is like finding great item in Vinted you would love to have for £100. Then offering 65 for it - rejected. Week later 70 - rejected. Then it’s sold and you send message to seller to please cancel it, I want it. Gone. Because of your own choices.

What I have understood is that pre-season tour is in problem purely because the promoters haven’t paid what was promised. Would you go play against weak sides without being paid what was promised? These tours create income and if not paid, then what’s the point? They could have afforded Williams, but he just used them to flush better deal. Everything was ready on Barcelona’s side. Diaz wants Bayern. They don’t owe that to Ter Stegen, they just want him to leave club so they don’t have to keep paying him high salary as back-up option. But Barcelona can’t afford Isak, that’s for sure.

It’s not just that we lose players to big clubs but we invest so much time and energy on those players who are not going to come here - and then it’s panic mode at the club to find other targets and it could end up with us not signing anyone. Trafford saga has taken us 2 months for absolutely nothing. Get in done quick or move on!

Yes, but only if there is someone appointed to actually do that. Instead we are now only open to start planning of preparations to discover potential targets

Probably selling Diaz and Elliott for combined £100m and then they have a chance to go for Isak. But not for Guehi, though probably Chelsea will find some reason to get him too. And I don’t think rules apply to them.
