  1. Dubravka, fucking hell, he's having the game of his life
  2. I posted that Chris Wood would turn into prime Shearer before the Forest game. Using my new godlike powers over fate: Isak is going to grab a brace, Gordon will get a third, Newcastle will win 3-1. I manifest it.
  3. Always thought Mehdi Abeid would get a run in the side and turn out to be brilliant
  4. Accept I'm basic as fuck but this has convinced me we should loan Phillips
  5. That'll be the bit you're missing. He's tried to tweak the system where he can in a few games this season but has his hands tied by the unprecedented number of injuries we have. it's not an uncommon view, but I doubt it's close to a majority. Ryder posing it to Howe as if it is exactly why window-licker is getting pelters.
  6. Could not agree more. There's a section of the fan base that seems to see pessimism as grown-up and optimism as childish, so lurch towards the most negative spin on anything that happens to show how fucking adult they are. EDIT: Not aimed at anyone in particular on here, it's all over twitter
  7. Lee Ryder needs to fuck off like, if he's putting that across to Howe as if it's an opinion the majority of fans hold
  8. It couldn't have hurt to put out a short statement or whatever, but I'm not too fussed about that tbh. Walking out in front of the rest of the group and clapping the fans with tears in his eyes at the last match the message felt along the lines of "sorry, i'll be back" but maybe I'm putting that on him. Important thing is he shows it through his actions, which from what Howe has said about him training well, and his inclusion in things like the visit to the children's hospital, he is doing so.
  9. He was at the visit to the kids hospital like a week ago. Probably told them to fuck off, in Italian too, the English-hating cunt
  10. Love how quickly this some of you are spiraling on this. It's barely been 3 months, by August next year you'll have convinced yourselves he's a boyhood Mackem who sought a move specially to bring his sworn enemy down and secure NETD status for his beloved seagull botherers. Howe and the wider club have been crystal clear that he'll be backed and supported, and the match going fans clapped and cheered him off the last time he played. After a year of training and learning our system, having received support from the club, he'll come roaring back desperate to pay that support back. He'll be class, and this will be but a bump in the road of a successful signing in time.
  11. Love the absolute confidence listing all the things Howe has done wrong and the oh so obvious tweaks to fix them. As if Eddie Howe isn't going to be working with quite a bit more information than the members of Newcastle Online in making decisions.
  12. Giving Sunderland way too much relevance in 2023. They're just a non-entity as far as markers of success. They win and it'll be their best result in the last decade. We win and I'm not convinced it makes our top 2 results for this season - PSG & Manchester United at Old Trafford both much better results.
  13. I still think we'll make top 7. We're up there already despite all our issues and we'll be infinitely stronger in the 2nd half of the season with fewer injuries and games. If we can get through a grim looking January still in the FA Cup and reset from there we'll be fine.
  14. Big picture, his Bournemouth side were notorious for being terrible in defence - he spent his time after that job travelling around and visiting other clubs to see how they run things - then had the best defence in the league with us in his first full year. It's not linear, we've been shocking in defence today, but he's shown he'll adapt longer term.
  15. He's not perfect, but too many limitations to ever win anything big? He's 46, he's exactly what we need tbh, a young, progressive coach who will get better with us. What limitations he has I'm confident he'll be working on.
  16. I genuinely don't think you appreciate just how much he's done to turn the whole feel of the club around. A lot of that would go if we go down the route of bouncing between "top" managers like Jose and sacking anytime there's a dip in form.
  17. There's a big difference between being told you can't question Howe and asking for a crumb of perspective like
  18. Can see a world at the end of January where he's under a lot of pressure, but I think and hope those in charge will see the bigger picture and stick with him. Sacking him would be such a massively backwards step in a number of ways, both footballing and the whole culture of the club. Be absolutely devastating if he goes.
  19. Feel like the energy spent on fighting when we lose could be better saved for the next match
