This is the best Newcastle United side I've seen in my supporting lifetime (was a little too young to appreciate the Keegan years and personally think this tops Sir Bob's best team). I'm going to enjoy the fuck out of this, regardless of dips in form along the way. We'll make Europa League or Europa Conference League with a strong push in the 2nd half of the season - players back, fewer games, January reinforcements. That'll represent a steady step on our path upwards - last season was well ahead of schedule. We might even push for Top 4 if the likes of Villa are distracted when their European ties start to get harder, but feel that's a bit of an ask at the moment. Either way, Howe is the man.

He's shattered and it shows. When we can rotate and he's not playing 90 minutes 3 times a week we'll see more from him. Never stops trying though, had a mental sprint against Chelsea late on to close down their keeper where I couldn't understand where he got the energy. Will be a brilliant rotation option for us going forward once we have other options, be that Murphy and Barnes coming back or an incoming transfer

Emery is great, but he'd struggle with our squad, injuries, and fixture congestion. Anyone would tbh. Silly to compare them when our European games were against Mbappe and co, and they're playing a bunch of Polish painter-decorators.

Not a single manager in the world I'd swap him for. Anyone actually advocating for moving him on is deranged. Fortunately only seen a couple who feel that way.

Yeah, it's a declining position but it's easy to see the cause. Howe's not done everything perfectly this season but he's been managing with 2 hands tied behind his back. Feel for the players and the manager, they're trying. We'll get there, less games in the new year we'll come back strong
