  1. Pressure is as much on them as us as they need the win too, and they'll have to deal with our crowd. Dortmund at home are no slouches, PSG have proven they're shaky away from home. We can absolutely do this.
  2. Not to mention if we did go through the knockouts would be in the new year - we'd likely have a stronger squad injury-wise and with January reinforcements. Not saying we'd be favourites by any means, but over 2 legs we'd give anyone a damn good go. If the PSG games were a 2-leg knock out we'd have won that 5-2. If we go through we'll have beaten Milan on aggregate too. We're not here to make up the numbers.
  3. Great article - really encouraging to read about how committed he is in training to getting onboard with our playstyle, the club's approach to this whole situation being one of support and understanding, and acceptance that there was no way we could have known this when signing him. Basically bodies a number of the poorer takes I've read in this thread over the last couple of months which is always class to see.

    Loris Karius

Thought he was fine in the final given how little he'd played for 2 years. What a redemption this would be if he plays a blinder and helps put us through.
  5. Not a good performance tonight, but I'm not gonna write him off, he's still barely played and will be rusty as fuck. If he doesn't start to pick up over the next game or 2 we do need to start looking at alternatives, but have faith he can get back to his old self.
  6. Did I imagine us beating Man Utd 3 games ago? And Chelsea not long before that? And City, and Man Utd again? Etc. etc. etc.? Some of you go on like Howe is taking us down. Feel gaslit to fuck reading this forum after a loss
  7. It really hasn't been as bad as the depths of Bruce, not close to it, it's just the relative disparity between our usual performance that's making this look bad. Howe will learn from it, but so much of this is the turboshit hand we've been dealt here, not a lot you can learn from that
  8. I'd prefer she (and anyone else who actually has some relevance in football in 2023) wasn't giving him the time of day tbh. This is what he wants, people with standing "debating" him and legitimising his utter wank views. Can't imagine there's anything she can say that will genuinely change the minds of the cunts Barton is courting either, no matter how impressive she is in arguing her view.
  9. Had no idea - so thanks, learned something Feel even more that the owners would be happy with a cup win and mid-table if it came to it then (of course we hope and are still well placed to do a lot better than that).
  10. For any cup? If so I didn't realise that, is that fairly new? Can't remember any mention of us getting into Europe in the leadup to the final last year but maybe that's because we were already on-course in the league.
  11. I've not said a word about deprioritising the league. All I'm saying is if we win a trophy but fail to make Europe this year, the owners will see that as a success, certainly not a failure - none of this happens in isolation, they're well aware of the unprecedented number of injuries we've got to a squad that was already thin. Howe will take us into every game in every competition with a line-up he thinks can win.
  12. It's like all the "Howe under pressure" shit in the media, in the context of every message that's come out of the club over the last 2 years it's completely baseless.
  13. If we win a trophy but fail to get into Europe, that will be an utterly ridiculous achievement and I guarantee "his bosses" will be fucking delighted to have brought silverware back to a club so long starved of it.
  14. You would say that, cunt
  15. "Maybe" is doing a lot of heavy lifting there Don't really agree that any of the freak injuries can be blamed on fatigue, rotation, or style of play etc. - you basically get into butterfly-effect territory. I get what you're getting at, just don't agree personally.
  16. Someone needs to remind our lads that they're paid a decent wage, if they're "tired" we'll give them to our brave boys in the forces who keep this country safe. Woke snowflakes with their fatigue and their pronouns, embarrassing
  17. Dubs is probably rusty as fuck tbf, he never plays. He'll look better after a couple of games
  18. Glad we're all managing to stay composed and reasonable and not jumping to wild conclusions
  19. Disagree, it's fatigue - physical and mental.
