Disagree massively tbh. I think he's perfect for both where we are and where we're aiming to go. He's a relatively young coach who's really struggled with the hand he's been dealt this season - but he's the heartbeat of the club and will grow with us imo. I'd be absolutely devastated if we lost him, think it'd be such a massive step back.

Love him mentioning "Mad Dog" in his post-match

One in the eye for some of the weaker-willed among us. My manager
-
Eddie Howe masterclass that. Saw the threat from their changes and adjusted our system accordingly, Tino on completely nullified them. Brilliant performance from the lads, and the manager. So much for not being able to adapt and being stuck to a single system eh.

Not surprised if I'm honest. Didn't ever think we'd get smashed, thought it'd be a tight game. Predicted a 1-1 accordingly. We haven't suddenly become a shit side. Eddie Howe hasn't suddenly become a shit manager. With time to rest and properly prepare for games we suddenly look competitive again. It's not exactly a mystery, there was never the need for so much doom and gloom. Huge if we can get the win here Injury to Isak is gutting mind, real blow.

There goes my shield but I'm fucking delighted

Not the best performance, but in the end a very comfortable away win and on to the next round of the cup. Lovely stuff.

Seriously who are we playing when 2 out of Gordon, Barnes and Murphy inevitably pick up little tweaks or strains? If we don't buy someone we surely need to recall Minteh
-
Feels mad if we're planning to go through the next 5 months with Gordon, Murphy and Barnes as our only wing options given the intensity we play at and the fact that 2 of those have been out for the majority of the season already. Can't even say we'd stick Big or Little Joe on the left as they've been out frequently, or Isak on the left with Wilson up top as they've both been injured. This feels borderline suicidal without a replacement this month
-
Yup we absolutely have to replace him this window. As it stands we have 1 fit winger. Even if players come back there's no guarantee we don't pick up other injuries throughout the season
-
Will be really sad to see him go, he's the ideal rotational option or sub against tired legs on the right. The issue is when he's the only option and gets driven into the ground, but he's never given less than 100%. Gutted about this tbh

Would hate to see him go, but understand if he wants it, or if the club see the long-term benefit, or some combination of the two. Krafth and Tino as our fullbacks is a strong 1st choice to see the season out but our depth isn't great. More concerned about the leadership loss, our defence always looks less assured without him (lapses in form the last couple of months aside).

Of course, that tracks

Opened this expecting to read a load of praise after he had a great game. Forgot exactly what kind of hellscape bombed-out part of the internet this forum is after a loss.
