  5. After winning me over with his performances recently, Nicky Butt pissed me off at the final whistle by rushing over to Man U old boys Tim Howard and Phil Neville with a big grin on his mash for cuddles and laughs and to arrange where they were going for a pint. Nothing as bad as Cardiff, he did at least give the fans a clap this time once he was done catching up. Just that ginger fucking grin when I'm stood there gutted. :wullie:
  6. With regards to the match, I was very pleased but one thought stood out in my mind.... If Ronaldinho had spun a player like Milner did tonight, viewers all over the world would be spunking all over it for ages. Having said that, he'd probably have been able to finish it too
  7. You sound like George Bush putting it like that. I was uninspired. There are lots of better managers I'd love to have seen come to Newcastle, but based on the attractiveness of our proposition, I accepted that Roeder was about as good as Shepherd could do for us.
  8. Yeah, it's not good. But we aren't as bad as our position in the league. Under Souness we most definately were. the league table doesn't lie. you can make all the chances in the world but if you can't score and can't defend then you're in the shite. We've scored 3 in 2 and conceded none. So we can evidently do both. we've scored 7 in 10 league games and conceded 13 in 10 league games we are 17th in the league after 10 games I would say that they were more sensible stats to acknowledge rather than championing a 3-0 league cup win a a 0-0 draw at home against the bottom of the table side. I'd say the end of the season is the most sensible time to judge it.

  10. But hey, don't worry! Do you worry that you could get hit by a bus tomorrow?
  11. Aye, because they'll get booed if they win. Replace "result" with "performance".
  12. I'm not saying we're too good to go down. Just that we're only a quarter of the way into the season. We played well on Saturday and deserved to win. I'll worry if we're in this position after 30 games and playing as shit as we were under Souness. On the rare occasion that we played well (for 45minutes) and we still couldn't score. What happens when we play badly (that's a rhetorical question - we lose). Where do you see the goals coming from? Because with Martins not being very good and injured, Ameobi knackered, Rossi only here till January until we're told otherwise and is still an unproven quality and with Sibierski out as well, where are the goals going to come from? Look, I'm not happy with the current position or that many of the performances. The squad is a disgrace, 5 or 6 defenders to fill 4 positions. No fit strikers showing any class. But we knew that when the transfer window closed and if we get on Roeders back, and get him sacked where does that leave us? Freddy Shepherd going on another hilarious hunt for a manager and coming up with a dud whilst claiming everyone wants the job. I can't see Alan ****ing Curbishley getting any more out of this squad than Roeder does. Why put in the effort to play well if you're going to get booed whatever the result? How is that relevant to anything I said? I asked, do you see the team scoring any goals? I don't. I think that's a serious problem we've got, and as such we're under threat of a serious relegation fight. How is all that nonsense in your post going to see us finish in midtable? I thought that was rhetorical too. The goals are sparse, but we got 3 against the team in 4th last Wednesday. I'm just not one for moaning about something that can't be improved. I moaned about Souness because we were shit. I won't moan about Roeder as long as he gets performances out of the players at his disposal. After 2 canny performances people seem to be whining more than ever.
  13. Why would you take those away? Honestly, the measures people will go to to make us look worse than we are. Are we not shit enough as it is?
  14. Take a look at how many have been scored by Tottenham Hotspur Manchester City Watford Sheffield United Charlton Athletic

  17. Panicking makes for better banter on here, that's what they do. Make a huge situation out of nothing to generate debate. In the pub you wouldn't get an iota of the overreaction you do on here.
  18. No-one did. Or does tbh.
