Why is that approach more important now than in the previous 27 games? I'm not sure I really follow the logic. Well some games you'll be happy to settle for a point?

West Brom vs Newcastle United - 25/03/12 at 4pm (on SkySports)

Fancy us here for some reason. -
Unless he adapts like Bale did, then he's going to be found out very soon (if he hasnt already). All left foot, always looking to go on the outside, doesnt look particularly skillful but has great pace. Early days but not sure if he's clever enough to change his game up (his face gives me this impression).

This result must give us a massive lift. If we can get a result going into the Liverpool game, I can very much see us geting a result.

I remember they couldnt string two passes together and were constantly booting the ball out of play in the first half, in what o can only assume was panic. They were awful. We havent played Bolton at home?

I thought they were one of the worst sides up here this season tbh.

A bit of stability would be nice for a change.

Its encouraging at least that he acknowledges that we arent playing well I guess. At least we are still picking up points and are sitting pretty in the league. Of course, if we were playing like this and sitting in the bottom half, then it'd be a different matter.

Newcastle United vs Norwich - 18/3/12 @4pm (Live on Sky) - Pre-match thread

I think we'll do alright today, I think we'll get a performance and a win. Hopefully HBA, Cisse and Demba all start -
But they are effective at it and cause a lot of problems for other team, we don't Yeah, the league table backs up your argument on that one. 3 points off 8th come off it man, survival is success for them and they are nearly there mug what, are you ten years old? You've said that Norwich cause team problems but we dont, yet here we are, 6th in the league. How do you exlain that one? Think a lot of it comes down to before Ba and Tiote went to African nations when Ba was on form and scoring, since then we have been horrific to watch. The only really convincing performance I have seen us give in last 6 months was against Man U, good results can mask all sorts of issues. My point is that teams like Norwich and Swansea actually have a go rather than totally worrying about what wolves etc are going to do to us. He will no doubt look to contain Holt or Morrison today rather than attack the f*** out of their defence No one is arguing we arent playing particularly well at the moment but making statements like 'Norwich cause teams problems and we dont' is just lazy and probably doesnt come from actually watching Norwich. I seem to remember us causing the Mackems a few problems in the second half and we also gave Arsenal something to think about, admitted more so the first half. We are having a sticky patch, and we arent playing great. But lets not get get carried away and start throwing our toys out the pram just yet. If we go another 4 games without results and performances then i might agree with you.
