This. He's been naive a few times so far (particularly the Agbonlahor pen and a few rash attempts at tackles in the box yesterday) but once he settles into the frenetic pace I have no doubts he'll be a fine player for us. He's fantastic going forward and his touch and passing are a massive upgrade on Simpson. You can just see by watching him play that in 10-20 games time he's going to be quality. Like you say, little niave at times and couple of daft bookings but you can see his quality. The first 11 is really starting to take shape.

Aye tons of graft yesterday, looks very comfortable on the balll too. These are the type of players you want in you squad.

I suppose the problem they have is the pace he runs with the ball. And the fact he may indeed one time, keep going down the flank.

Well he was challenged to start winning games after we signed the 5 and he has 6 points out of 6. Decent start, a long way to go though.

Only one I can see winning is villa, so we should hopefully still be 4 adrift with Southampton to come.

Sad but true, Jonas likewise. Not sure what the deal is, did anyone see Pardew with Jonas after...he seemed to be consoling Jonas hugging him tight and whispering sweet nothings into his ear... either Jonas is going through a rough spell off the pitch or he really is Pardews favorite. Looked almost odd to me.. doing that with Colo would have made sense. I think it was because Jonas wasn't meant to start, until Marv got injured. Jonas would have been p*ssed off, just a bit of man management for the Pards. Plus Jonas lost his rag two or three times during the game. Probably trying to calm him down. But aye, he's shit.
