  1. Ive started on my "Shay is a Geordie" Flag.
  2. Not a bad start that to be fair. Apart from Man U away, it could have been worse.
  3. Up until the past couple of days ive been thinking its going to be really tough and that id take a draw, then you go through the to starting 11's, we should win fairly Comfortably. I have faith we'll turn it on when the big day arrives.
  4. Fluid was pretty good for games last time round, was always rammed at a good atmosphere. plenty of screens too.
  5. Im with Ronaldo, as much as i like Loven, he isnt premiership standard sadly. He'll barley get a sniff next year, even against the poorer teams.
  6. squad numbers announced. James no1 England boss Fabio Capello has revealed his World Cup squad numbers, with Portsmouth goalkeeper David James gaining the No.1 shirt. There has been much speculation as to who will start between the posts for England's World Cup opener against the United States on 12th June. James has been vying with West Ham shot-stopper Rob Green for the role, while Joe Hart has enjoyed a great season on-loan with Birmingham to put himself in the frame. But Capello may be about to trust in experience by handing veteran James the No.1 jersey, with Green given the No.12 shirt and Hart No.23. Across the back four, there are few surprises with Liverpool right-back Glen Johnson given the No.2 jersey, centre-halves Rio Ferdinand and John Terry in at 5 and 6 respectively, while left-back Ashley Cole is No.3. In midfield, Spurs right winger Aaron Lennon has received the famous No.7 shirt, while on the left wing, Joe Cole is No.11, with the midfield partnership of Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard No.4 and No.8 respectively. Up front, first choice striker Wayne Rooney is No.10 and Capello has hinted Peter Crouch could be his starting partner against the Americans by handing the beanpole striker the No.9 shirt
  7. im not so sure. I think Hodgson would be a far better appointment.
  8. Ronaldo not a person!? also exciting? he's a prospect, not so sure about the exciting part though.
  9. Well done I say. I could never get my head round the fact they would publish something that would be so detrimental to Englands WC 2018 chances. Fucking Morons.
  10. just because he lived up here i suppose. I bet his fucking heart dropped when he started getting all these emails though!!!
  11. With these new strips and the finale of Lost I honestly think im going to have a breakdown.
  12. Back on subject, i hope he goes there and tears it up. Id love to see him to really well somewhere again, and if its not in the premiership that makes it even better.
  13. Couldnt have put it any better. The 'Toon Army' thing is an abomination. Shows how out of touch they are with their customers. The strips 'cheapness' and the general lack of effort and imagination shown in their designs shows how much they dont give a f*** about having a club like NUFC on their books. am i missing something with the "toon army" thing?
  14. The more i look at that home top, the more i hate it. I think that could be the worst home top we've ever had.... without actually seeing the real deal.
  15. The home shirt is a fucking travesty, what a let down.
  16. You know what i dont get, and im not being funny when i say this. But this whole experience thing. Shlola is clearly a shite premiership footballer. So lets say we are in a relegation battle next year, struggling to find the next win, how in the hell will shola's experience of being a shite premiership footballer help in any way?? i can understand if it was someone top class who knew how to win trophies etc, but what the fuck would sholas experience bring??
  17. May have been posted elsewhere - Newcastle boss Chris Hughton insists he will have the means available to bolster his squad this summer. Despite the Magpies' promotion back to the Premier League, owner Mike Ashley revealed earlier this month that were would be no new capital spend on players, and there has been no further clarification of what effect this will have on Hughton's plans. But former Republic of Ireland international Hughton, while fully aware of the facts, is confident he will be able to recruit the players he feels will keep Newcastle in the top flight. Confident "I'm very, very confident that we will be able to make additions from what I have been told," said Hughton. "I'm aware of where the club is financially and I'm aware of what the situation is, and I am confident that we will be able to strengthen the squad. "My job now is to make sure we go into the season with a squad that is able to cope with what will be a tough season. "As I have said before, I do believe that we have the nucleus of a squad good enough to keep us in the Premier League. "But at the same time, I also believe that we have to add to the squad, because going into the Premier League is a very big ask. "I don't want to put a number on the amount of new players we need, but I'm confident there will be a few new players. We will assess it as we go along." Targets Hughton predicted there would be little change to the squad before Ashley made the club's spending plans public, and the manager is adamant the men who battled for promotion from the Championship will be allowed the chance to prove themselves in the top flight. But the Magpies boss has acknowledged the squad does need some reinforcement and has spent the weeks since promotion on the hunt for potential targets. "I have been talking to other coaches and managers and I have been taking a lot of calls from agents," he told the Journal. "I don't think anything will happen until late June or maybe even July, but we are doing a lot of work behind the scenes."
  18. Quote from wiki: "The first release of the game included a player named "Tó Madeira", a great striker no matter where he played. It was later revealed that Tó Madeira was not a real footballer, but in fact a fictional player created by a scout working for the game producers." Some boy this guy was and for what? £150k?! Great memories.
  19. Likely though, why name him in the 30 man squad otherwise?
  20. How the fuck does this guy get to go to the world cup? Beyond me!
  21. To be fair, forgetting the statement, he has already got a few hundred million invested in the club. was just about to post this.
