Never knew that, feel like I’ve only ever heard it from Geordies doing TV work, always thought it was an adaptation. Grates on my ear cos sounds so out of place.
Shearer raised the point of the pressing, I almost forgot we did that. Last season there was the excuse that we were too tired to do that cos of the CL and injuries. I bought that. But what’s the reason now??
As people have alluded to, games like tonight don't really have much much bearing on my opinion of Howe at the moment. I expected us to do well - though we did better than I expected. A convincing win over West Ham would've given me more faith. Hope we can put together some kind of run now.
I thought that a little bit. For me it was partly cos of VAR - I was at the opposite end and didn't really know what'd happened, no clue if he was onside.
It was noticeable from before kick off that the atmosphere was going to better than West Ham (I was sitting roughly same place for both). It's disappointing how much our fans fold though when we conceded. Liverpool were loud at the beginning and after their goals but were also quiet and noticeably nervous a lot of the time too (fair enough).
I know, but I have intrusive thoughts about how that joyous equalizer just took us back to still 1 point worse than we thought we were 2 mins before the Palace game ended It's not my primary feeling, but it creeps in.
