I'm going to get back to being more positive after today, but.... this really had the feeling of we can do this, but we need everyone firing on, and a bit of luck. To then basically voluntarily go and fuck our best team with stupidity has me so down. From tomorrow I'll be Harvey Barnes's Silverware Army.

I'm absolutely gutted and so annoyed. Is the final not in these players' heads?? Why would you be so stupid.

Surely it can't be a one game ban? I can't see what kind of straight red it'd be for a 1 game ban. This kind of incident is three or it's not a red.

Newcastle United 1-2 Brighton & Hove Albion - 02/03/2025

reckon you have to go back well more than a decade to find a game I loathed as much as that that I attended. I was already at a baseline poor mood cos of the game being so shit. Then when Gordon got a straight red... FOR FUCK SAKE I'd been thinking there's just three games where players have to avoid some stupid violent red that gets a 3 match ban, they'll all be sensible. We need everything to go our way to have a chance in this final and then THAT. And after Pope last time! And Bowyer/Dyer in our last FA semi. Can we not have nice things. No good could come of the game at that point, regardless. I was in a massive sulk, resisting hard leaving early for the first time ever. Even though I paid 30 pound I was in a posh seat that had an arm rest, and sunk in my seat with high blood pressure. Then we score, and i'm hardly joyous, but at least we're through and i can go home. VAR. We're not through, I have my WHAT HAVE THEY DONE TO FOOTBALL I have whenever a goal is disallowed by VAR, think it kills a bit of my love for the game each time. AND now I have to sit through another half an hour of this shit. Hate football -
Was next to a guy at Heerenveen who was the most intense fan ever. Spent the whole of half time just standing there arms out, silent, like 'FUCKIN COME ON THEN' to the whole ground. Will never forget him.

Oh aye, I was at that match too, but not that bus. I met my dad at Villa Park for the 2012/13 one and he was late, just made it for first goal. He'd given an unfamiliar bus group a go and arrived late, said the bus was carnage. I know Paully was on it He ended up stopping the night in my Brum hotel room rather than get back on it.

Was this 2012/13 by any chance? When we'd just signed a load of French players. Cabaye belter.

ffs I was fancying Leicester away. Doesn't seem a good pick for telly anyway.

People also sing 'gannin along the Scotswood Road' again in the chorus where it should be 'passing the folks along the road'. I persist with 'folks' every time and I never hear people around me sing anything other than 'Scotswood Road'

Thought the atmosphere was really good v Arsenal in the semi at home, so hopefully we can get that going at Wembley. There seemed to be a lot of encouragement for people to make a good atmosphere before, and it worked.

Spurs was shit despite good win. Was London though and the corner layout doesn’t help. Guy next to me was complaining and saying ManU a few days earlier was much better.

Never a good sign when the mic is picking up one single Geordie throughout the match

Id bite your hand off for a 2-0 defeat

Liverpool vs. Newcastle United: 26/02/25 @ 20:15 (TNT Sports)

My first time there was the 2-4 where we blew a 2 goal lead. Several of our players where white turtle necks under their shirts sticks in my memory, and Andreas Andersson breaking away to slot it in for a rare goal in front of us. Had two good trips. The 2-2 from 2-0 down with two late goals, Speed and Shearer, after Bellamy and Robert came on and changed the game was class. Heyy Shearer in the away end. 1-1 Shola, clinging on to clinch 5th was a good, tense one. (Owen's last PL game and goal til he came to us. Speed's last game for us. Houlier's last game. Bit of a crossroads moment for two clubs one place apart) -
First home derby at such at this level and in a season where the points could be part of a promotion push seems a good argument for biggest home game so far. I'd think it'll beat the previous SJP records.

I think Anfield is the only stadium I couldn't work out for sure how many times i've been to, because some of the miserable 0-3s have merged together. -

Can we be class but not give away our gameplan for the final?
