Great he could be part of that

Was there any singing at all from Arsenal? Genuinely heard nothing at all, but could well have been drowned out.
-
Honestly I sometimes feel like I'm half-faking it a bit, cos I don't want to miss out.

Class that, never expected it to be so easy. Arsenal never turned up and we did. One of the best atmospheres I've experienced at SJP. Class, and especially great to be standing in the corner. Never heard Arsenal all night - couldnt tell if we just drowned them out Despite how great, real example of the damage VAR has done for me. I let myself go for the first disallowed goal, confident he was onside from my angle. For the two goals there was a cautiousness to my celebration after being burned, good, but not that all out feeling. The 'it must be the ball' chant was the perfect combination of gloating and taking the piss. loved it. Well done everyone, I really felt it made a difference. Very stressed now about getting into Wembley.

Just watched this. Chaotic match, lovely scenes though. -
I was going to request the change if we go through tonight

Buzzing to be in the Strawberry Corner tonight

My first ever semi-final. Howay the lads. (My dad went into the club about ten years ago and they were very helpful, gave him the file of this and another photo they took of the two of us that wasn't used)

I was up in the bouncy castle for the Tottenham one too. It's actually Ruud Gullit! being chanted over and over to a clap that most sticks in my head. Was amazing. If anyone has the 1998/99 NUFC official screenscaver that came with an official mousemat, you'll see a picture of me appear from the previous year v SheffU.

This is where I fundamentally disagree. Yes it is. And therefore any 'sensible' decision has to take emotions into account, because this is football. It's nothing like deciding where to build a new Tesco's etc. from a business point of view. You may not feel much emotional attachment to the stadium itself, that's fine, I understand your reasoning, but the fact is many do, and that's valid and should be an important part of the calculation. I'm definitely emotionally attached, and I think probably overall I'd support a move on balance - not because I'd removed emotions from the equation though. tl;dr emotions have to be part of any sensible decision, because this is about football and football's largely about emotions.
-
Football is all about emotions though, they're a valid factor - it's sensible to take emotions into account.

Christ, that feels ages away.

I mean the text, says I need to sign in - and I'm not signing up for The Telegraph.

Can someone post the article please

New Everton stadium
-
If we're moving I'm a big fan of that footprint, as close as possible to original site. Obviously wondering what that means for attendance during construction.
-
What's the tl;dr of why you loved the Spurs stadium? Not being an arse, just asking. Went for the away game and my take aways were - big ring of corporate around 3/4 of the ground was grim, lacked character, view from 10th row was substantially worse than would be from equivalent of SJP. Caveat that didn't go to bar. Atmosphere was also proper shit - but don't think can pin that on stadium much.

Nar the 99 blue one was pretty crap. Yellow numbers were a fun novelty though. Also I got Batty on it, then he left.
-
Separately bought the 95-97 reissue. The material feels distinctly different to what I remember, and the stitched badge I'd spot as being different straight away (cos it's better really). Close enough for me though, I'm happy. Wanted to try it on first, got an S just like I always do though. Think the sleeves are bigger but otherwise fit is pretty standard.

Don't explain, just go to the counter and ask some young lad for a Premier League umlaut.
-
Can you not buy an umlaut at the club shop or JD to add now? Please ask.

My blow-softener is not having to fork out silly money to get into the final. -
Whatever measures are used tend to be unadvertised. E.g. nobody knew for a fact two years ago that going to Bournemouth home or Tranmere away in the cup was a way to increase your chance of a final ticket. I assume if and when STs open up they will use something, and that something won't have been previously stated. Even if they use ANY previous membership (plus and regular) that will have been unadvertised. Not saying it's fair, and I doubt plus membership *will* be used for ST or cup finals, but I thought it was worth paying the tenner just in case.
-
I doubt Mags plus gets cup final ticket benefits. (Selfishly I hope it does, cos I am one. I paid the tenner from the start just in case there was something, was more thinking about STs - never thought likely though )
