I think the FA Cup is still above the LC, but only marginally. The LC has grown since its lowest ebb (largely due to Pep) and the FA Cup has fallen. I can barely remember most recent finals for either, they're all blended between the two - some combination of Man City, ManU, Liverpool, Chelsea. What makes them memorable is if someone different wins them - either. Our LC win will be more memorable to your average non-toon fan than this year's FAC, I believe. And obviously last year's FAC also memorable, thanks to Palace.

For me, I'm genuinely happy we won the LC rather than Europa first. The Europa has declined markedly in value since we were in that semi-final but there's also just that I'm glad we could do it in Wembley with so many of our fans there. Now we've done that, would certainly enjoy a Europa. I'd probably prefer to win the LC again though, than the Europa, if I could choose. I think it’s fair, at a minimum the first game should’ve been awarded to Middlesbrough- which effectively would kick them out. Not sure point deduction also necessary but got no issue

Expanding the Milburn and Leazes from the previous iteration added 16k seats. So presumably matching the Gallowgate and East stand to those stands would add at least 16k more, except the East is smaller than the Milburn was pre-expansion, so it'd actually be more. So could this make a ~70K SJP feasible?

Is right to light the only issue though? I thought the proximity brought other structural issues.

So is East Stand expansion actually feasible then? I always thought it was a non-starter, but that article says this makes it 'slightly more feasible'. East Stand expansion surely massively changes the potential future capacity.

He was paling around dead friendly with Graeme Jones. I really don’t think he’s been ostracised. I think Howe doesn’t want to play a player he knows is leaving imminently and prob knows a ‘goodbye appearance’ wouldn’t turn out as such- there’d be a smattering of boos. I think if he was being ostracised he’d be kept out of the squad.
