I like Hughton. I think he has to be given the chance in the Premier League. You can throw any excuse you like at it - We already had premier league players - He just had to motivate them etc etc However he has organised us into a more effective unit than we have been for years, We seem more resolute and although its a lower league you can't underestimate the job he has done when every team in this league see us as a massive scalp for them. To lose 4 games all season and be promoted with 6/5 games left is great. Hopefully Ashley releases enough money for Hughton to work with and Hughton knows where we must improve. This for me is a striker, Centre midfielder, right back and cover for the wings at least

Agree with that. He wasn't punished by the team after glassing that lad in Blu Bambu when he should've been IMO. He's going through a purple patch at the minute but I don't think he's as important as he or some others believe he is. Best has been very poor so far but Ameobi's record is surprisingly good and I still believe Ranger is the better footballer of the two. I still maintain that ameobi's bad points far outweigh the good. He can't hold the ball up, loses it to often and has more s*** games than good by far. Should have been dumped years ago. Ranger however I agree I think he has potential that far outstrips the other strikers we have he just has to realise it. His hold up play is quite good, seems to have pace and maybe a trick just need the goals and consistency that will hopefully come with age and games Carroll has to learn how to behave, and he won't change if he walks straight back in tomorrow. The sooner this bunch learn how to lead by example the better. I agree Ameobi is a shambles who should be cut loose but he can score goals in this league which makes Carroll slightly more expendable. Lets face it, until very recently Carroll's game was hideous and it's only recently he's looked more of a footballer and less of a lump I agree he has only recently started looking better but has shown real improvement in last 6 months that Shola never has unfortunately. He still has loads of work to do before becoming anywhere near prem class imho and certainly won't do it with all the shit going on outside of the game for the tit

True I also don't think loven is a replacement for Carroll. They both have to play together. We need him because he intimidates the other teams centre halfs ameobi doesn't and best certainly doesn't only Ranger seems to but has yet to fully find his feet. Really don't think we will pull this one off but fair play to Hughton for at least trying to sign the right players to improve us. I just think someone will nick in and get him. Would fucking love it if we got him and actually had some pace going forward. Was over the moon with routledge, williamson looks good and I think our team has improved just by signing them two. Would have liked us to get a centre midfielder with energy but I think we will get by if we can get this sorted. Then concentrate on centre midfield and up front in the summer
