Anita RB and Janmaat RM would make more sense. Surely this is essentially why Anita is in; to cover for and allow Janmaat to get forward.

There's not two defensive midfielders though 3 last week, 2 this week. Count. Who are the two defensive midfielders? Unless Anita isn't playing on the wing as per the team sheet then there's only Hayden. And Anita. He's a DM, not a winger. He's about as much a winger as Colback's a striker. I agree that Anita shouldn't be playing and get your point that he'll offer nothing, but we're not setup playing a formation with 2 defensive midfielders. This was my point given that people are saying the formation is setup negative. It's not, we just have a shit player on the wing that we don't want there (because Ritchie had a knock). Anita on the fucking wing If you rate Rafa on his team selection in the two games this season, you can only say he is clueless. He played him there because he had a good game in our final preseason game. I don't want him there but you can see why he started him there last week, and since Ritchie is injured, why he's started today.

How does the three midfielders we currently have include 2 DM's? Hayden is the only one, as Shelvey certainly isn't and Diame is the offensive midfielder. Doesn't excuse how poor it sounds like we're playing.
