I remember travelling up to Newcastle on the Saturday and that was the day of the Orient debacle. The Sunday was the charity game and remember being shocked at how far down the C road Sir Bobby was at. It was also in the midst of Ashley's disgraceful treatment of Shearer and he was playing so it seemed to be a 90 minute Shearer chant going on. I also remember the ref blowing for time prematurely thus stopping Jimmy Nail from fulfilling his life dream of playing on the hallowed turf.

Doesn't seem five years since I sat in the Gallowgate to see Sir Bobby at his charity game. Although we didn't know it, it was his farewell. RIP Sir Bobby.

Doesn't your agent mate know something? He'd surely hear whispers being in that niche.

Even when they were winning the occasional FA Cup in the late 70s to late 80s, they were still the most followed team in England. Highest attendances etc. Generally the glory hunters and offspring of from the Busby era.

Are you his nephew or summink?

"I will go to the 9/11 memorial to pay respects and show New York who I am and to apologise. " said Lampard whilst not apologising.
-
No it doesn't . Just the one that sits on the top of the table. Of a league that's perhaps one step up from the Conference North. You think the Premiership is that bad?

Is Jackareyney still there?

Why's he waited until now. Always knew he was a wanker.

Nice to see Lampard apologise for his 9/11 behaviour at Heathrow. Wonder what brought it on?

Carroll was infinitely more than just a battering ram, when he played for us. Many people, including myself, were gutted that we accepted that £35m. In hindsight it was the right decision, but in the intervening years a lot of people seem to have forgotten just how good he was back then. He wasn't as intelligent as Ferguson when it came to holding up the ball and laying it off for people. The amount of times he would just head the ball into nowhere was quite high. Neither was Ferguson at 22 or 23 tbf. That would've come with experience.

Robbie Savage ran the fucking show that night.

I'd agree with that. Can't see the inferiors agreeing though[emoji6] too busy tarmacking, lets just unilaterally agree to call it a day Oh look silly mojo has taken the obvious satire as real views[emoji38]

Not as much as it would hurt you to see Ireland qualify Just another foreign country to us. No different from any other. You can't say the same about us. Not another foreign country to Ronaldo, he fucking hates Ireland I'm fairly sure you're flattering yourself somewhat there I'm not and I'd say he would probably admit he hates Ireland or at least has a dislike for Ireland I'm a proud Brit and obviously react to anti-British nonsense from the Irish but I really don't dislike Ireland more than any other European country. I love Father Ted too and some of that was actually filmed in Ireland, so goes the rumour. There you go triggs. Just as I said. It's a fact of life that England or Britain are far more important to other nations than they are to us. Everybody and everyone raises their game to play us.

Not at all. It's just some Irish posters thought I was specifically referring to Ireland . When I wasn't.

Not see the footage of the magical Magyars celebrating around Wembley after destroying England 6-3 in 53? Maybe the Danish side doing the same in 83? It's always been a big thing to beat England. You yourself beat us at Windsor Park and then celebrated like you'd won the World Cup. Would you have celebrated in such a fashion after beating say Poland or Belgium? Would you fuck We celebrated beating Spain more tbh. And just as much when we beat the likes of Sweden and Denmark when we almost qualified for Euro 2008. We're shit, but our fans are second to none so we go mad anytime we beat a half decent team. But it was more than beating a half decent team, it's beating your bigger neighbour. Lower league players playing against players they don't come across often especially these days. It's different with Northern Ireland anyhow. Most people there would rather stuff the Republic than stuff England; would they not?

It's either down to that or in the Germans/Brazilian cases, ultra respect from history, in football.
