Well I , for one ,hope they can give the 96 that passed families something to smile about , by winning their next game by a hatful.

I stood on the Leppings Lane terrace when I saw Coventry win there in the FA Cup QF in 1987, firstly the coppers were a disgrace, niggling at fans to get a reaction, and also when Coventry scored early on, it was pandemonium and my mate disappeared underneath one of them stanchion posts you used to see, he reappeared 20 rows further down. Alcohol for sure had saved him as he was blissfully unaware of how dangerous his situation was.

Aye. Some of the apologies they're getting are nowhere near as good when it's a completely different set of people saying sorry. The South Yorkshire Police one is almost pointless at this stage. Of course the reason why Maggie wanted to protect the South Yorks Police, they'd been her henchmen against the Miners 5 years before.

Apparently so. It's Scouseaphobic to actually say they were at fault in any way whatsoever. Which is frankly ridiculous. The cover up by the coppers however is a monumental disgrace. We KNEW they had done it of course, just the scale, and number of others involved in the cover up There have now been two reports which make a mockery of the idea of ticketless fans causing the crush, in addition to the large amount of work that has also been done in the 23 years since by a vast array of other individuals, studying CCTV of fans entering the ground and footage from outside the ground proving that there were no more Liverpool fans trying to get in than was expected. It's not "Scouseaphobic" to absolve these fans of blame. It's common sense because they don't exist and never have. I agree though it was an easy enough position to take, at the time, we'd all seen ticketless Liverpool supporters scale 100 feet of wall to gain access through a high arch to Wembley for the 86 Mersey Cup Final, and of course we had the tabloids peddling this too. I did vehemently change my viewpoint as I grew older and understood the media for what it is mind.

Hodgson has Graham Taylor written all over him. Glen Johnson should be nowhere near an England team, yet seems to be first name on the team sheet. Lampard and to a lesser extent Gerrard should be put out to seed , and he should also pick Welbeck more regularly . When we needed a goal last night, the last thing we should have done was swap left backs especially as the outgoing one is our best dead ball specialist. Sad to say but Englands future looks very bleak.

If so, get him in. We lack potency in the box.
-
Id like to see him anally violated by an over zealous elephant.

I'm not Treacle, I'm from Cov., but know a lot of Nuneaton gadgies.

Meet you in the George at 6

The fact the board didn't back Pards when he needed to squad strengthen will ultimately dictate as and where we finish this season. Pity really because looking at the usual top 4 suspects , with a bit of depth and quality we could have really got amongst that top 4. The fact we didn't invest, has left our squad thin and dare I say it, a bit flat also. No competition for places breeds complacency. Pardew has a far tougher job this season, imo.

The Kop make more bullshit appeals than a sub-continent fielding cricket team ffs.
-
Given's decline started when Harewood butchered him at Upton Park. Never quite been the same since then imo.

Less than half. Imagine Spurs or Liverpool doing that. And that's without an annual transfer budget aside from sales profit,. which most other clubs operate with., Am I correct?
-
Of the Carroll money,. how much has been invested on new transfers?
-
Spurs have been trying for about 2 years to get Leandro but Internacional keep moving the goalposts. So much for the partnership agreement we have with them. Probably pissed off when we mugged them for Sandra. Aye,. you don't get tea ladies like her these days.
-
There are no shit teams at this level, last night must have shown you that. Liverpool are in it.,
-
That's Arses youth team defender, Bert Cabaye, silly.
-
Ok then ignoring that we could get Debuchy and Douglas and sort out the defence and get a good 3rd choice for that price. What ever way you look at it's idiotic. If it was anyone other than Carroll, you would agree with me but because he's the "returning son" all logic is thrown out the window. Paying 16m for Carroll now is more stupid considering the form he is in than Liverpool paying 35m when he was in good form. Atleast he was a dangerous striker then, now he's crap. Nor having that 16 million now is more stupid than the Dippers spending 35 million then like. Liverpoo haven't used him properly at all.

He'd be better off turning out for Mars A.

Bizarre... He seemed to be pulling them together slowly and like you say unbeaten after 3... Conversely not won in 3 either. yes but its only been 3 games sacking anybody after 3 games is insanity The people in Coventry that support Cov, believe they are a Premiership club, to not even be in the Championship really grates on them, they expect a season in League 1 like our Championship season, so to have not won in the first 3 games, 2 of which were at home has panicked everybody here. Quite fun to watch from such close quarters.
