Beating Spuds 2-1 at WHL with Pedro getting a last minute winner in our first season up.I was in the Spuds end, well side, and celebrated fully amongst the whinging Cockneys. When i read The Mag after, about a month later,The writer of the report said that because he saw loads of fans celebrating Pedro's goal, that it had been disallowed, but we took their end over. They had battered us for nigh on 90 minutes to make them feel even worse.

So when did keegan fail , yes we missed the title but he was made promises which were not met and i believe words to the effect of "thats not what i read in the brochure" and promptlly left as i remember him sayig its a plc and he was getting shackled by the money men and could not operate in football in that way and the boards aspirations did not match his. So what did he do! spat his dummy and walked away like he did at Fulham and Man City. Keegan informed the PLC that he intended leaving at the end of that season 96-97.PLC said that would be illegal, that it would be fraudulent to sell shares whilst knowing one of its main assets wouldnt be there in the future.Keegan therefore left there and then, before shares were sold.Correct me if i'm wrong, that isnt throwing toys out country.

Just seen Jenas praising Newcastle and KK too!!!!!!!!

And Nick Hancocks an unfunny cunt.

Ok, lets go: 1. Stoke is an absolute SHITHOLE. 2. The accent is FUCKING SHIT. 3. The people who inhabit the place are SHITHEADS. 4. The Naughty Forty are a bunch of SHIT charver's (chavs) 5. Stoke City FC are SHIT. 6. Robbie Williams is a fat SHIT from Stoke. 7 Robbie Williams is also a SHIT stabber. 8 Robbie Williams is a SHIT singer. 9 Stoke-on Trent is rhyming slang for someone who takes it up the SHIT box.

This. Plus, those 2nd places were how long ago? exactly. He has one hell of a task on his hands. Expectations are going to be waaaay too high. The majority of people (not necessarily those on here) are going to expect him to get us in a similar position to where he left us. I'm not saying all Keegan-backers are like this, but I guarentee there will be some. And this attacking football business, if we honestly try to play like we did 11 years ago, we're facing relegation. The Arsenal team of 2008 would have totally raped the Newcastle team of 1996. Couldn't beat Birmingham last week. Seriously doubt it. You'd think some people on here want Keegan to fail, so they can tell us they told us so. The Birmingham team of last week had a better defence than 1996 NUFC. Darren fucking Peacock ffs. That is utter bollocks to be fair.

Can you shout "Man on" in Braille?

Feel a Trigger moment coming on-Whats the 1930's American public enemy no.1 murderer got to do with phones?Sure you didn't mean J.R. Hartley?

He failed at a number of jobs, based on effectively cracking and walking away. Its just the way things are. Plenty of people would argue against that, and state other reasons for his departures. If nowt else, least he has the decency to resign, rather than hanging on for a pay-off. So now he's some kind of brave soldier for walking away, as opposed to a man who couldn't take the pressure and did one?? Once could be discussed. Twice would be very unfortunate.........more than that? You seriously think every departure can be dismissed on its own merits, ignoring the pattern? Keegan did not fail here last time. I'm sure the bright successful managers like Hughes and Moyes would love that level of failure So define his success, here and elsewhere. I would define success as leaving every club he has been at in a much better position than when he arrived, playing excellent football on the way. Are you serious! ask Man City fans then. Are you taking the piss? He got City promoted playing some of the best football their fans had seen in decades and established them as Premier League side. Fair enough, it tailed off towards the end but do you actually know any Man City fans. Like I said, he left the club in a far better position than when he arrived. Apart from the fact they had to start again, as he'd left no legacy at all to speak of. Dunne,Distin,Wright-Phillips,Anelka,David James. They had some good players-certainly better than the ones that were there on his arrival.

Any town that that produces fucking Robbie bastard Williams must be a genital wart of a place to be fair.
-
Man City fans have never seen such good football than in their promotion season.
-
He couldn't take them on past "good", though, could he? He couldn;t take that sort of pressure. But if you're already on the "KK is the best, perfect man, etc" wagon, you'll never accept anything else. He's only really walked awy from Citeh, for footballing reasons.
-
Keegan hasnt failed anywhere bar England. Each club he's managed has been left significantly better off at his departure.
-
I reckon he might go for Heskey.
-
I feel like a twentysomething again!!!!Lets all get behind Special K!!!I can remember crying when he left, and i had a tear in my eye when i heard Adrian Durham announce his return.
-
Its all so slow moving though. Its obvious we need some kind of investment player wise but how long will a new man have before the window closes-is Deschamps informed of where we lack quality?
-
I think between the two of them, they could attract the type and quality of player we haven't seen since Sir Bobby was sacked.
-
Is it true that opposing fans would chant ,"You're supposed to be at home!" to him?
-
And the Premierships right side of midfield fraternity have released their copy on same song,"We all know the way to skin Jose"!
-
Alan Oliver has released an old Bacarach song today coincidentally. Its a song directed at owner Mike Asley. Its "Do you know the way to Sign Jose"!
-
Why would they want a connection? They don't have too, they could potentially snap up any manager they want. Mourinho or Hughes? No contest. They spent 30 years finding the right one so surely they'll appoint somebody who 's experienced the MUFC ethos.I think Hughes is stick on next Man U manager.Internatinal and Euro experience to boot.
-
I think Faye and Beye are the two Allardyce plusses tbf.The rest big negatives.
-
Wait and see.Who else connected to Old Trafford is better qualified.
-
I say Barton was Sams biggest mistake-closely followed by Rozenhal.Smith could do a good job if employed in his proper position,ie up front. He got away with murder playing NZog at left back.
