  1. You didn’t say he’s different to Isak and changes the dynamic. You said that he had attributes that Howe doesn’t want.
  2. I think in terms of ability he’s the worst, which is testament to how he’s managed to have such an impact on the game. And that football isn’t just about who has the most ability.
  3. I have no idea, it drives me mad. True Faith syndrome of trying to be contrary for the sake of sounding intelligent.
  4. I was sat right behind it and it was clearly not a penalty live. I knew VAR would change it. TV actually doesn't have the best angle, from behind the goal, which shows how far the ball changed direction after Pope touched it. It was clear as day.
  5. You're not neutral, you're a Man Utd fan.
  6. It's obviously not a penalty, fans of other clubs are really winding me up today
  7. But this is just not how we see it. Woltemade is an unusual striker but he will play as a striker and that’s what he has been signed as. People drove me mad arguing about this already, he is a striker.
  8. Do people still think we only start working on signings when they appear on Romano's twitter?
  9. Well they both have strengths, I don't think we need to pick one as a direct replacement for Isak. Wissa is proven in the PL, versatile, experienced, can play up front or wide. Woltemade is more unusual, technical, gives us a bit of technique and link-up play that we didn't have before. There's just no reason to believe that Howe doesn't like Woltemade's attributes. In fact quite the opposite since we spent loads of money to buy him. And he's already linking well with teammates and scoring goals.
  10. Why are we saying Woltemade doesn’t have characteristics Howe wants? Where did this come from?
  11. Everything is good, people like being contrary.
  12. I think we should have someone on corners whose only job is to stand next to Dan Burn and call out how much he’s being pulled back.
  13. Our transfer dealings were a disaster. Howe clearly doesn’t trust Elanga. We should play 441. Wolt can’t play in 433. Bruno has been awful this season. I wouldn’t go on a Milan forum making loads of pronouncements about their club and their players. It’s bollocks.
  14. Going on ignore, you’re insufferable.
  15. No offence but you don’t know what you’re talking about.
  16. The Bradford game was extremely easy and enjoyable for our midfield. If anything it probably gave them a boost.
  17. Hard to say, we obviously struggled to some extent but I don't think freshness was the issue. We just had to work really hard without the ball and Arsenal have the best midfield options in the league.
  18. Yeah very fair, I'm just saying it didn't look like he was worked that hard. Also think they might've been using it specifically to work on more vertical passing.
  19. But it wasn't particular taxing or intense like a PL game, and we dominated the ball for most of it. Probably no more intense than a Howe training session. I can understand if we thought sitting out Bradford too would've been too long without playing.
  20. That's what I was asking yesterday, defenders should stop putting their hands behind their backs and start doing Schmeichel star jump saves. Surely the point is whether he extended his arm in an unnatural way which blocked the cross. It's not like he knew the exact path the ball would follow onto his arm

I don't disagree but I do think the nerves of the fans are way too exaggerated. He rarely ever makes a serious error. The more important thing is if we want to become a team that controls the ball more, we need a keeper that doesn't have to play so many long balls.

Those stats are mainly because he passes long though, surely? That in itself is because he's poor on the ball, but no keeper who mainly plays long passes will complete most of them. It's a very low-percentage way to play.
