That's fine, you might be right, there's no way to tell really.
  2. I f***ing hate Pardew man. His workrate ffs. Argh. Go buy Kuyt this summer, you moron. Any excuse to have a go. That is a tenuous one.

About HBA, I was only making a hypothetical point that if he keeps up his current form for the rest of the season then you could argue that he's been introduced at the right time. If you look at my past posts I've been desperate for him to start the whole season. On the second one, I just don't believe Pardew is telling players to hoof the ball so much. Maybe his "be hard to beat" approach is rubbing off in that way, and maybe he's failing to correct it, those are fair criticisms either way. I just think the fear and lack of ability in some of our players is the main factor. All Pardew's problems to address obviously.
  4. He won't start against Norwich, he was just an option to provide some pace against a very quick Arsenal team. I know he's poor like, but I think that was the theory.
  5. Tiote is known to every ref now, they're counting up his fouls from the first whistle. That one he got booked for was so soft.
  6. Guthrie has the build of a snooker player. He, Stephen Lee and Fergal O'Brien should be sharing a Victoria Sponge over tea after a few frames. Saw him in person once, his face is like a blowfish. Not his fault like, we can't all be chiseled mofos. Anyway, back to slating Simpson...

He's been picking Taylor ahead of Ben Arfa ffs, never mind Danny Simpson. Well that's a totally different debate, I've always said that was a mistake.

Argh, this debate is a perfect circle. Rest assured, if he'd been picking Raylor instead of Simpson for any length of time he would be getting much more stick than he is now.
  9. I don't mind them both playing from deepish positions really, it's up to the players around them to create movement. It's more of a problem when we play one up front obviously, but we had Obertan, Jonas and HBA who should have been providing support to Ba.

Totally agree. Maybe that's always been Allardyce's problem, he wants to pass it but he's always just had shit footballing centre halves. Nice.
  11. Guthrie is one of the least athletic professional sportspeople I've ever seen. No need to post a picture of Shola, that's a given.
  12. What can he do, just let the wide player walk it into the six yard box?
  13. Marveaux's actually been a big miss for me all season. Crafty little player, left footed, good even play with Cabaye and Tiote in a middle three IMO.
  14. Won a load of headers and I would be happy if he was knocking about our squad as 4th choice, which hopefully he will be after the summer.
  15. Nutshell to be honest. Doesn't like winter. He's from the north of France. Why doesn't he like winter? Vietnamese granny.

He did absolutely fine today. Yep. Just loved the way he took it on his chest, let it fall to his feet and then sprayed a nice pass to a red and white shirt. Absolute class from this complete waste of space. Sorry, you win.

Since when have Newcastle fans wanted defensive fullbacks anyway? Bomb on for fuck's sake!

Enrique is much better than Santon so far, but it's because of athleticism, strength and speed rather than technique. Luckily those are good attributes for a fullback and he has adapted a style that makes him effective. Santon will come good though, he's classy.
  20. First season, young lad, likes to attack. Not a problem, just let him play and improve.
