  1. I still believe a lot of the discussion was either made up or out of respect to him. Having a conversation before he moves on because he’s served the club well. I’d imagine that nobody expected him to stay on whatever terms were mentioned in the gossip.
  2. Think that’s generally what people mean by pay as you play TBH. They don’t mean no salary at all.
  3. I don’t know when people are joking or not now.
  4. He just puts out the cones and helps in training. If he's good at that then this is a good move. No need to be morons about it.
  5. Well yeah, but my point is why is this like that.
  6. Problem is the opportunity cost and the squad space he fills. We could sign someone who isn’t always injured or isn’t proven to be not that effective in the PL.
  7. I really like Madueke personally. Doesn’t really address what Arsenal need but he’s a good player.
  8. We’ve also still got a match fixer playing for West Ham.
  9. AKA no Chelsea bid is good news
  10. And ideally want a CM as well (funded by Willock/Longstaff sale hopefully).
  11. Thanks Luke, just remind us you still exist.
  12. Nobody > Tonali. And I don’t mean the poster.
  13. I’d love to spend a day with the team trying to manage this 1990s website Poor bastards.
  14. I’d give him a chance, I’d just prefer another option.
  15. If we can do it without DCL I’m in
  16. Imagine if we have a good transfer window
  17. Was thinking the same, biggest difference with PSG and Madrid is that they have a team of world class players who never fail to control the ball or miss a pass.
  18. Bet he turns up for pre season after 6am. Howe oot.
  19. Think that’s always been there, no?
  20. Krafu’s not bad for a squad player. Don’t want him playing too much but he never really lets us down.
  21. Did a bit of YouTube scouting yesterday, he's definitely an interesting one. I can see why some people would say he's not great on the ball due to his running style and way of controlling the ball as he moves. It's a bit weird sometimes. But - he does make excellent decisions and doesn't seem to just run for the sake of it. He actually delivers early and decisive passes very, very well. Not sure I'd describe him as completely two footed but he is happy to have a go with his left. His shooting doesn't come across as overly brilliant but he does squeeze the ball past the keeper somehow in a lot of different situations. Crosses and corners are very good. You can tell he comes from that new school of players where the cutback or cross to an unexpected place are always an option. I can't see him making the brain-fart errors that Murphy does, but he also will be purely an attacker and maybe not work up and down the flank as much as Murphy does. Depending on how much Howe can brainwash him I guess, or depending on instructions to other players like Tino and the CMs.
  22. What would it look like though? Buying people for £40m who you expect to become worth 80? Isn’t that we’ve done already? I guess our problem is that we've closed the gap on the top 6 already and now we're looking to go a level beyond that. Something which requires constant additions of top quality players and very few failed transfers.
  23. Think that’s the most likely change in midfield. Only thing that confuses me is wanting Joao Pedro… guess we wanted the option to change formation at times and were planning to buy Pedro and Elanga.
