  1. Don't know how people can ignore the players' part in this whole thing. If your club offers you a deal you aren't happy with, fair enough, look for another club who'll give you what you want. But why be a twat about it in the media?

Only a matter of time until the screw starts to turn on the cunt. Why do you hate him?
  3. Any chance we'll recall Lua Lua?
  4. I was just pointing out the lack of an option. If you're discussing a wage cap then you obviously agree it's not mental to suggest their should be a limit on how much players are paid, right? If so, then why set it at £50k?
  5. He's not average. Of course he is. He has no pace, lacks stamina and doesn't score many goals. He's a decent set piece taker and has good passing skills but in general he's a very limited player. He was performing well in a side that was at times perfect for him. At what he does he is quality, but his overall game isn't top class. For us he was a very good player though (for a while), and I'm still sorry to see it pan out like this.
  6. Scary thought right there. On the other hand, Vuckic, Ferguson, Kadar, Tavernier, Sammy Ameobi might more playing time as well, which is probably a good thing.
  7. Isn't there an option for "should be lower". The only caveat is that I think clubs that are making a profit should be exempt from the cap. The only reason for it is to stop clubs putting their future at risk for short-term success. If clubs are profitable then I don't see a problem with paying players whatever the market demands. Also, it would have to be at least Europe-wide, if not global.
  8. Why? There won't be any trouble if the owner of his new club is a bit better than Mike Ashley. No employers keep all their employees happy all the time though. You know you have to handle him with kid gloves or walk in the next morning to reports of him tweeting about how "all the #helmets up top are ruining this proud and great football club with it's long history #NYredbulls" What a load of bullshit tbh. Have you not been following Barton's career?
  9. Scraping the barrell here like arent we? Theres not gurantee's we'll sign Barnetta and even so, Barnetta simply isnt as good as Barton, nor will he such an integral part of the team as Barton is/was. Barnetta is class bruv! Have you seen what he dun against England? Joey weren't even on the pitch for Englamd fam! Weren't good enuff. Just stop it.
  10. Yep, like Ben Arfa, Marveaux and Cabaye.

He would come out and say that a player is correct to criticise the club in public? He needs discipline in the dressing room more than anyone.
  12. Unfortunately he doesn't play for us.

Do you think Pr-dew has any influence at the club? Some yes, but I've never denied that he has to defer to Mike and Del. I just don't think that's a particularly rare situation in modern football, and that the alternative is either him leaving or constantly falling out with them, which is even worse.
  14. Why? There won't be any trouble if the owner of his new club is a bit better than Mike Ashley. True, as long as you can guarantee to keep Joey perfectly happy at all times there'll be no trouble from him at all. Also keep him away from cigars and make him train in isolation.
  15. Same, I would hope that if a decent club came in we would milk them for some money. Doubt Ashley would be keen to give a rival a major asset for nothing. Not that his decisions are always logical like.
  16. If I was a club signing Barton, it would definitely be on the condition that he stops using Twitter.
  17. Wot's ee sayin'? I dont believe what i'm hearing, Barton didn't like the fact he wasn't allowed to take free kicks and set pieces agaisnt Leeds and thats what set him off Sunday. If that's true it beggars belief.
  18. Then they would have to pay up the remainder of his contract. You think the Fat Lad would authorise that? Not really, I was wondering whether their is some way they could have sacked him for misconduct etc. Probably would have led to a drawn-out court case as well though I suppose.
  19. Its pretty odd like. The overreaction on here to some twitter comments was strange enough, let alone this. You're both living in a fucking fairly land if you think its fine for a player to continually slate his employer in public. I'd love to see these same people slate their own employers in public then still walk into the office expecting a pay cheque. I know, it's madness. Actually, I'm thinking of going for a new job so I might give it a try!
  20. From the club's point of view, they should either have punished him internally or released him on the spot. To have him associated with the club while able to talk shit on twitter and appear on the radio with Robbie fucking Savage is a recipe for disaster.

Dot com are total mongs sometimes.
  22. It definitely has an element of cutting off your nose to spite your face.
  23. Every time there is a fuck up like this, fewer and fewer players will want to come to Newcastle. Hope Graham Carr has some excellent but expensive free signings from Venezuela or Vietnam or somewhere obscure ready to sign on the dotted line because signing people from France and Spain will become difficult for fatso at this rate. Why would players from France and Spain be put of by the mental world of Joey Barton?
