    Gervinho

Going to Arsenal according to Wiki. Dammit And here's me thinking it was all sorted Simple solution - update the wikipedia page.
  2. True, that is it's weakness. Like your suggestion schmuck, let's have two verses.

    Gervinho

Is the conclusion that concrete? Me French isn't good enough for that kind of subtlety. Its along those lines. I'll have a look see if I can find the original L'Equipe article that its come from. Need to book up on my French anyway as I'm going to Paris at some pooint this summer. Never mind that, you need it to live in Newcastle these days.

  5. Don't know, but it's a good name for a film.
  6. Agree, it's not like offering Smith a massive contract with huge wages when he's shite. Simpson is potentially a very decent player for us for a few years yet.

    Gervinho

Lille are prepared for the eventual departure of Gervinho?
  8. Oh Alan Pardew You are the love of my life Oh Alan Pardew I'll let you shag my wife Oh Alan Pardew I want silver hair too I think it could work.
  9. Yep, Pards won't forget his name, but he might shag his wife. (That reminds me, we should have a silver hair song for Pardew in the style of the Colo one)
  10. Keeping him is a valid option though, especially if the fee is small. In a year's time we might be a much better team and we might be able to get him to sign a new contract then.
  11. Dunno, good attacking midfielders are more valuable than fullbacks surely, no matter how good the fullback might be.

    Alan Pardew

If your attitude is positive and your approach is positive you've always got a fighting chance of being a success at anything. That's the biggest thing Pardew has in his favour for me.
  13. Might be a bit premature, so far we've only got Ben Arfa.
  14. Depends what his full value would be otherwise, surely? It depends more on whether the club would rather lose the player for nothing in 12 months or get less than £8m now. Personally I reckon it will take around £8m to shift either Zog or Enrique. Shame Wigan never went down though as it would have been far less then. Yeah, but what I mean is that all out of contract players aren't equal. If he was normally worth £20m he might now be worth 10, but if he was worth 15 he might only be worth 5 or 6. Otherwise all end of contract players would go for a fiver.
  15. Consensus on The Times football podcast this week was that NUFC were correct not to offer Joey a new deal as his wages were far too high for us to be paying.
  16. Depends what his full value would be otherwise, surely?
  17. I'd actually be really interested to see how Owen would do if he'd get off his arse and go somewhere where he'd play some actual football. Think he can still finish.
  18. That's their leadership problems sorted then.
  19. Or he could be retweeting it just to say to people "look what someone said about me". It could just be an ego boost... wouldn't go as far as to say it means he wants it to happen.
  20. Yeah Also about sharing something you have found/read with your own followers.
  21. It's not actually a "verified" account, but it does seem like it is him.

    Alan Pardew

Most fans I've spoken to rate Pardew TBH, I think he's quite well respected in football in general. Only his trouser snake has affected his reputation I reckon. Anyway, if he keeps going how he is now I'll be happy, tentative signs of good progress.
