  1. Don't think so, not that bothered if he can't even get a game for Portsmouth though. Oh no you didn't.
  2. Even so, not sure players are going to want to join Pompey with the team collapsing and the whole club falling apart.
  3. Thought the whole point of sending people out on loan was that you didn't pay the wages though? Suppose there's the experience factor as well.
  4. Blatant asset stripping tbh. Straight into Ashley's fat pocket, fucking wanker, etc etc. Oh wait, some players we want to sell.
  5. I would have to agree, can't see NUFC shelling out for Lil' Wayne if they had any doubts about Pancrate's ability to step up.
  6. This is really the best type of signing we can expect in our current situation - definitely good enough for the top of the Championship and possibly able to make the step up. We're never going to get proven Prem performers in this window, so well done for getting players like this instead.
  7. Well done! Aye, fair play, looks like Chrissy H is reading your posts. Get something posted about how we should sign a LB, CM and striker... quick!
  8. The Albert chip is my favourite memort, probably my favourite football moment.
  9. I'm not convinced that Simpson is really any better at RB than Raylor.
  10. At Reading games they announce the 12th man as 'Reading fans everywhere' when they read out the team sheet! It's so cringeworthy it hurts.
  11. If fit and confident, that team is probably good enough to (just about) stay up if we get promoted. Think we have a better chance of staying up witch Taylor in there for Williamson though. Yeah, didn't see that. Also, fair point about the lack of goals, we do need a proper striker if we go up... no doubt. Still think we might stay up with the strikers we've got though, not many teams actually have good strikers anyway.
  12. If fit and confident, that team is probably good enough to (just about) stay up if we get promoted.
  13. Yeah, the balance we'll gain will be a massive, massive bonus... at least teams won't be able to double up as much on the left.
  14. Definitely need to keep as many players in their proper positions as possible - i.e. not move Enrique or Colo. So Tavernier seems the most sensible option, even though I've hardly seen him play.
  15. Corrected your post (annoyingly, I know). The gaffer deserves the credit here, methinks. Even though he has been shown up on occasions during the course of the season for his tactical ineptitude, he has gone about he business quietly and efficiently. Sure you're right, but either way the club could have vetoed the signing if they considered that they had already tried to solve the RW issue. Wouldn't have been surprised if they had.
  16. This is what most managers seem to do, unbelievable how nobody's realised he's our best player.
  17. There was a point when he looked like he would be more successful than Lennon if I remember right, potentially Premier League quality.
  18. Can we agree to not post anything along the lines of 'headless chicken' and/or 'no end product' until he's had a decent amount of games?
  19. Couple of encouraging things about this transfer. 1 - He wanted to join us. 2 - We seem to actually know our weaknesses and be trying to address them. 3 - The club didn't just say 'we've got Pancrate for the right, that's it'... they saw he was terrible and went out and bought someone. 4 - It was under the radar. Hate to give them credit, but still.
  20. Nice. If Barton sorts himself out we might haev something resembling a midfield! Please play Guthrie inside and don't drop him.
  21. I do like watching Smith and Barton on the pitch together though, the potential for violence is brilliant.
  22. I honestly don't care how much players 'care' really... I'd rather they did I suppose, but it's performances that matter at the end of the day.
