Newcastle United 4-1 Paris Saint-Germain (04/10/23)

Hmm, I think he could be kept as a squad player but that’s it. Even his goal in this game is straight at the keeper and should have been saved. I think his level is upper championship or relegation battle starter, sub for anyone else. -

Yeah, Gordon too really, feels like it was before their time. -
If he can sell his house for £55m there must be some rich people left in the country.

Watched on my laptop from a hotel bar in Czechia, fairly difficult to keep it together with lots of confused Europeans around. -
I feel like you must have more chance in the family section since other people can’t apply, but that’s based on nothing.

Tuned in to see Man U lose, thought I was wasting my time for 20 minutes or so.
-
For demolition maybe.

Always said the Tyne should have a boat service.
-
Ah, the t-shirt yeah. I meant the long-sleeve retro shirt.
-
£70? I can see one with a starting price of 70 but no bids. Active auctions are up to £150+. Buy it now ones have gone for £170-200.
-
For me it’s a more about capacity than spending ability. We just don’t have enough seats.
-
Up to £200 but not sure how many have actually sold.
-
I’m tempted to sell my shirt TBH, I never intended to but they are selling for triple what I paid.
-
Fair points, I’d never argue it’s as good as where we are now. But if we have to move, I would consider it a bullet dodged to be 5 mins walk from central station and 10 mins from most other places.
-
I don’t know exactly where the arena site begins and ends but on the map it looks double or triple the size of where SJP is now. Depending on which warehouses and adjoining sites you can acquire, I guess.
-
But isn’t the point that you can go to town and then pop to the ground? I’ve never really considered what it feels like.
-
I think most fans would be raging.
-
It’s dead but it’s still only a 10 minute walk. Apart from staying on the current site it seems the best option to me.
-
Of course, but it would be a cultural disaster.
-
I don’t think I’ve ever read or spoken to anyone who’s happy to move out of town. Having attended Reading for a whole season, the words park and ride make me go all cold inside.
-
It’s a soulless out of town location and nowhere near Newcastle. Also, isn’t Newcastle racecourse in regular use for racing?
-
Dire location that, worst possible outcome.

I don’t know the numbers but I guess we could probably triple or quadruple our matchday revenue with more tickets, better facilities, better retail, more corporate etc.
