There was a time I thought Ricardo was pretty much the best RB in the league.

I know I’m a broken record on this, but the idea of a sport where the fans don’t know how a decision has been reached is absolutely mental. Either shows how backward the football authorities are, or how much disregard they have for fans. Probably both. Also would likely mean the rules would need to be simplified and the criteria for a decision made more clear.

Have to assume liverpool will pump them, massive bonus if they don’t.

I’m not sure it works like that though. It wasn’t a choice between those two options. One player we liked became available, so we went for him. I’d like to think it wasn’t at the cost of another signing.

I almost think they should just say that the ref and VAR work as a team constantly, and the ref can ask for a check of anything. Or be advised of a mistake by the VAR. If they did that, combined with clear communication to the fans on TV and in the stadium, it might be a more acceptable system.

The way they’ve explained VAR seems completely wrong. I had no idea how much the VAR official guides the on-field ref in situation like that Trossard goal.

Bit of a weird question. I didn’t expect any particular number of goals or assists. And I didn’t expect him to become a first team regular at any specific point in time. I just don’t think what he’s done so far has been unusually bad.

Think his trajectory has been pretty normal TBH, it wasn’t like I was expecting him to come in and tear the league up immediately. He was a solid signing who became available and we pounced. It might take him a while to find his feet. Haven’t been blown away so far but he clearly has a lot of attributes. I think focusing on how many goals and assists already is silly. He could’ve easily had 3-5 assists based on that video above.

It's an extremely difficult game for us, but we're at home and we're a good team. Just difficult to be completely confident with how our performances have dipped recently. Hopefully it'll turn out that we didn't need to win this one anyway.

I just think, massively disappointed in what? Yes, it’s better to be in the top 4 than not. But the players have played way beyond their level and we’d have absolutely nothing to complain about. Anyway, we’ll do it so it’s OK.

We absolutely have to just enjoy these final games and appreciate what has been an absolutely amazing season. Howe and the players have performed miracles this season and we’re in Europe. Anything too negative really has no place in the conversation.

Not sure if ‘better’ or just a more pleasing style. I certainly prefer the passing football they play, and they make it look really good at times. At the moment I make them favourites for this.

I always thought he was one of Everton’s best players TBH, and really highly rated. That was based on very brief periods of watching though. I think he’ll get better for us, it’s very early days.
