  1. The comparison doesn't make any sense at all, not even any idea what he's trying to say. And the fact that he's said it shows what kind of world these guys live in. At least he's heard of computer games I guess.
  2. Are UEFA rich enough to be bailing out European super clubs?
  3. UEFA can afford to pay money to the premier league?
  4. Same, they should at least have had several weeks of painful retreat.
  5. The fact that these few men can balls this up so comprehensively, and look so amateurish doing it, just shows how football is run. Clueless rich blokes messing about with something they don’t understand and have no business having control of.
  6. I didn’t really realise how bad the Liverpool owners were. Shocking.
  7. I don’t care about punishment, but I do care about using it to drive reform of the game so it can never happen again. And ideally make it so the PL itself is more equitable and there’s less of a gap to the championship.
  8. It absolutely has to lead to some reform.
  9. Tell that to the 3 kids I’m paying for.
  10. This is so amateurish it’s unbelievable. Football is a billion dollar industry run like a secret club you made up in infant school.
  11. Street football 5 a-side, like on FIFA Remove the average teams, why not remove the average players.
  12. That's the thing, the financial problems are due to a culture of excessive spending. The clubs have vast incomes.
  13. If they try and design their own streaming platform or something, it will be disastrously shit.
  14. You won't be able to watch the Premier League anymore either TBH, it'll be killed stone dead. Unless the clubs are kicked out.
  15. According to a graph on the BBC, Madrid's revenue has gone from around 700m to around 600m during covid. With similar relative drops for other clubs. That shouldn't cause an existential threat to your business, surely? Seems like football clubs are just really badly managed, and overspend for no good reason other than the culture they themselves have established.
  16. I didn't know we had anyone running social media. Impressed.
  17. I doubt it. Nobody involved in this is capable of producing any slick content or marketing.
  18. It’s seems incredibly incompetent if they’ve moved ahead with this launch without some back room or legal advice that they can get what they want. If it’s just a punt, it’s crazy.
