I have hardly seen him play, but tbh I'm really looking forward to seeing him in action. People moan of him being a liverpool reject. So what? That means liverpool saw something in him, but have decided not to keep him. That doesn't mean he doesn't have talent. He will grow and mature in time aswell. The stint a bolton only helped him, and I think he will have a great future for newcastle.

i never say we have no hope of signing good players. all in relative terms. i will find larsson a good and realistic signing. clubs like the others may find larsson not a good signing cos they can attract better. but for us this is a good player. also, i say players that are more famous, rising stars or star players will not find us attractive but does not mean we cannot sign a 6-8 m player or 10m good player. star players and players that bigger clubs attract are worth at least 15m. in fact, i find Crouch a good and possible signing but he preferred Pompey. to me, Guthrie is not a good player that will improve us. Nobody expects Guthrie to make a huge impact. He is young FFS, and he will most likely improve with time. Have you been personally scouting him the last few years or something and come to that conclusion?

I'd keep him for one last season, and hopefully he'll prove me wrong. He's a handy player to have in tough, physical matches either as a defensive midfielder or striker. He is excellent at winning the ball, but shite at distributing it...

Doubt he'd leave Athletico. That's what people said about Torres too. But I can see Aguero staying for 1-2 more seasons, then moving to a bigger european club.
