was always a risk giving up your ST as a protest against Ashley. never was a guarantee you'd get it back in case of a takeover. you would have been fighting for them with a load of potential glory hunters. thats why we stayed despite despising Ashley.

knowing people who live and work in saudi - not just expats - the country has come on leaps and bounds even in the last couple of years. granted they started from a low base. but things like girls/women's sport would have been unheard off a few years ago. no chance there'll be alcohol at the world cup though, even in hotels.

last time i went there was no queue at all. an hour and a half before the game. you'll stuggle to get a table though.
