  4. NUFC or Metalist fan? NUFC. A group of lads tried to push to the front of the queue as it was busy, most people said nothing but I asked them not to. One of them then proceeded to throw all sorts of insults in my direction ("Ugly, typical lass knows nowt about football, uurrgh you're wearing a hat" ) and pushed in anyway, only to be told by the turnstile operator that he was in the wrong queue as he wanted to pay cash. When I grinned and laughed at him he took a swing for me (I dodged and he knocked my hat onto the floor instead) while his mate did the same towards my lad before some random bloke intervened and dragged them both away. The stewards on the inside saw the whole thing but just laughed it off and said they were drunk (they weren't particularly), which was disappointing. you need some kind of N-O alarm call or a N-O batsignal. cunts wouldnt have known what hit them

wonder if pards takes much advice from Carr. he's seen all the new players several times, watches a lot of european football, and is an ex manager himself.
  6. just like woodgate at his best
  7. ridiculous from the bbc website: "The former England keeper left his best until last, though, when he dived to his left to claw away Gerrard's penalty after Jonas Olsson conceded the spot-kick when he crashed into Luis Suarez. The captain's effort was Liverpool's 19th attempt on goal. "

  9. the question is that if an offer came in for the club that MA found acceptable, would you want him to take it?

He should have the options now. It's on him but tbf this season he has often not had much choice, starting 11 or subs. Yesterday he got it spot on, hopefully he realises we have the players capable of turning things around/forcing the issue. Not sure I agree with that, at least not completely. For it was still up to him how the team played and we watched enough games to know there was an underlying fear to the instructions. We've also seen the team play on the front foot often enough, usually against the stronger teams, only to revert to a right royal f*** up against some lesser light. The praise (or just plain acknowledgement) he gets for yesterdays game is due, but it doesn't change the method and mentality of 20 previous fixtures. As of now I don't have faith he will allow this to continue in the same vein, perhaps until the next loss when everything will revert to basics. Fear them and hold on. He really needs to tell these boys to play, because they can. If he turns a corner and maintains this style and freedom I'll be among the first to praise him, but he needs to have a run of quite a few games before I'll forget some of the horror shows that have been served up. He has had to play Williamson most of the season, Jonas is still getting games (as good as he was yesterday he has been very poor for the majority), Cabaye has missed too many games, Ben Arfa, Krul and Colo have been in and out. The subs bench has often been horrible. Obertan was starting to be accepted as one of the first 11! We have played s*** football, absolutely shocking football and he needs to be held accountable but I can't see how anyone can argue his options with regards to the team and squad have been very limited this season. dont forget simpson
  15. shame we couldnt get past brighton - would've really fancied us for the fa cup. we've got a team that on its day will beat any in the league
