  2. villa away relegation was worse. mignolet made 3 or 4 decent saves yesterday, whereas we barely threatened the villa goal that dark day.

    Alan Pardew

    fatigue and the linesman

    Hatem Ben Arfa

thought we suffered after ben arfa came on as marveaux subsequently didn't see much of the ball and he had been out most threatening player

  6. bit strange that football first didnt show cisse's near post header
  7. think for us a draw would be acceptable as it keeps them at arms length. they have to win. should suit us as we can hit them on the break.
  8. his corners were so much better than cabaye's

    Loïc Remy

we don't have a chance as he'll probably want to stay in the premiership next season any way.

  12. michael thomas? Too young for that so can't really remember it. But Man Utd thinking it was won and pretty much celebrating...then snatched away. michael thomas was better for me personally because if you think how much manu are hated for their arrogance, being worshipped by the media, and all round c**try now, liverpool were 10 times worse then
  13. this openness can only be good in the long run. especially if looking at post and preseason planning

    Hatem Ben Arfa

at least it'll put off any prospective clubs in the summer
  15. ha ha, classless? us? http://www.wiganer.net/news/tmnw/classless_newcastle_left_to_recoil_after_some_bruising_788879/index.shtml Classless Newcastle left to recoil after some bruising By Paul Farrington Updated Sunday, 24th March 2013 Views: 2914 Wigan Athletic RSS Feed Alan Pardew and John Carver were left in a state of embarrassment this week as Massaido Haidara's injury was revealed to be some bruising. The 20 year old French full back was on the end of a hard tackle from Latics winger Callum McManaman. The ensuing incidents were escalated by Newcastle, and in particular manager Alan Pardew and his assistant John Carver. The duo created a scene that led to Carver being sent to the stands by referee Mark Halsey with Pardew's comments after the game particularly damning and disrespectful. Now news has emerged that Haidara will be out for just three weeks with a bruised knee. Perhaps it would be wise for the FA to take retrospective action against the Newcastle boss and send him to the same school of class that Latics boss Roberto Martinez exhuded in deadling with the same incident. After threats of legal action from Newcastle it will be interesting to see just what they attempt to chase the Latics with. Meanwhile a group of Newcastle supporters invaded the pitch of Wigan Cosmos who were playing their Saturday league game on a pitch nearby the DW Stadium. The Newcastle supporters continued to cause significant damage to the goals posts and associated equipment before the rabble moved on to their next target. This is truly an incident where retrospective action from the FA is called for.
  16. fucking hate him, especially for silence after relegation.. but it was impressive to hear him say that he new he was going to be world class when he was 12, and he such confidence in his own abilty.
  17. on football focus right now - feels did nowt wrong at the toon - wasnt his fault he got injured etc. never mentioned the lack of effort and leadership in the relegation season, never mind the poor form, and the lack of humility efter going down and staying around till the summer to make sure he got his huge loyalty bonus.
  18. it'll be that "Shambles Travel" on twitter, man. Lad I know went down with them and says they were already doing lines off CD cases within about 2 minutes of setting off. Doesn't surprise me though. When we were down in 05/06 one lad nicked the rugby ball just as someone was taking a conversion. i dont go away as much since starting a family, but does seem a lot more young'ns on away trips theses days which is a good thing i suppose. behaviour is disgusting but is the nicking the rugby ball not just just a tiny bit funny? made me chuckle.

  20. yup just a draw against wigan would have seen us safe as it would have kept that 9 point gap from the bottom 3
  21. 3 match ban for handling outside the box? thought it was one match for a straight red unless violent conduct, then three' ridiculous
