Awesome result! If Sheff Utd can hold West Brom to a draw or better, we could really start to cement our position at the top of the table.

Hopefully this Patrick kid will be decent cover whilst Enrique heals. -
Fitz Hall signs from QPR on loan for remainder of the season

Decent enough cover, even if he only comes on as a sub here or there it's still an option when we're playing a busy league schedule. -
Patrick Van Aanholt from Chelsea signs on one-month loan

I know.. I want my money back.. I didn't sign up to listen to a sensible club.. -
What do you think of him? Huseklepp btw, not his agent. He'd potentially rape the Championship and be decent enough in the Premiership, imo. Can do that little extra eccentric thing which equals a goal, as well as being fast as fuck and knowing how to dribble and when to pass the ball. Sounds like we should sign him up if the chance is there. Would be a good alternative to Ameobi if we want a pacy attack, him and Lovenkrands?!

Khay - 5pm Monday.. thanks.. convinced myself it was sunday.. talk about wishful thinking. Hopefully we won't pick up any more injuries against Leicester on Saturday though or it's going to be hectic. I'm gonna go for 2-1 win for NUFC, hopefully Rangers cleared a few cobwebs and might start putting a few more chances away. Yorkie.. Totally. Where did you find yours anyway?

I know, if it was anyone other than Ashley I would have to say he's learning from his mistakes. It's in Ashleys best interest for the club to get promoted, therefore he will back us with limited resources to make sure it happens. -- That at least is my take on it. The sooner we get up and break all ties the better cause his learning curve is the immense!

Seriously.. I go for lunch and when I get back we've signed TWO loan signings... I'm gonna go take a coffee break and see who we sign next.. -
We can keep dreaming! Lets hope we get a spare left back in the process.

Anyone have a clue how long he's going to be out for? -
Could only listen to the game due to the HUGE distance between the Hague and St James' park. That said it did sound quite nail biting and that second goal could not have taken longer to arrive. I have to admit that I agree with Yorkie and McQuillan -- when Pancrate came on I was feeling a bit quesy, he's a quick and strong but he has the ability to combine the sublime with the downright horrible in the space of 5 seconds. Not quite sure how he does it. He did alright though, was never going to be an excellent right back but he defended well and had the pace to get out of trouble when he needed too. As for our central midfield Nolan and Smith out in a decent shift by the sound of things. I would prefer to see Guthrie in the centre but if injuries required him out on the left at the end of the game then so be it. We really need some more bodies in the squad!

Call me mad, but maybe theres a bit of thought going into it these days as opposed to fat freds old habit of chucking his wallet in the general direction of a transfer target! it may be the only way forward for the club, given the financial climate. Its a diffrent market now.

Fair point, although given the paper thin nature of the squad (and given that Pancrate imo is not really great cover) would it not be a wise idea to have another winger. I recall Ambrose could also play on the left, or did so a few times under Robson.
