Just seen the highlights of the Swansea game on NUFCTV, one of the moves leading up to a decent chance had him cutting and dribbling manically.. was magic. In the interview after Beardsley makes the point that he considers Santon TWO footed (no, shock horror a man with two feet) but none the less he pointed out that he's stronger on his right but can play well off his left too. So defensively he should be able to get out of a corner..

Give the kid some time to find his feet, expecting him to be match sharp right away is insane.. The look on his face when he came off (watching it live on TV in Holland) spoke volumes for performance, but the run out will have done him a world of good. I will reserve my judgment until after he's had a decent run of matches coming off the bench/in the reserves. As for a Barton replacement >> maybe one day but not at the moment. In a few months who knows..

Was rusty, give him some time and matches to get back to his best. A stint coming off the bench mixed with a few reserve matches should help him get his confidence and match fitness back.

Seen him play a few times and he's come across as a tidy player. Not quite the bomb down the wing fullback that Enrique is but still a class act nonetheless. He's been in the Dutch squad for a while now so if we were to get him on the cheap he'd be a VERY good catch for us. Alot better than some of the Enrique alternatives (re Bridge) we've been hearing about.
