He was alright, still raw, he'll probably turn into a decent player but the furore on here about him is insane. Great at points, you can see a good player in him but we need get to get past this nonsense as we had to sell someone. If it wasn't him, it would have been Bruno, Isak or Gordon. We tried to get Almiron to go to Saudi Arabia but he wouldn't and I don't hold that against him. Either he was sold, we sold one of our best first-team players or we got deducted points. You can say that's a mistake but we are buying players like him for exactly this reason. That's how the top clubs stay within FFP. Buy young players then sell them, some come into the first team a lot don't. We are very early in our journey and yes I would have liked to see him but I don't think he would have been the answer for this season for RW anyway. Maybe next season he would but he's gone. We will see a lot of this as we grow. Hopefully, though we sell 2/3 and retain 1/2.

Remember when they were top 4 early in that season under Rafa and wanted him out. It went a bit downhill and they properly hounded him out. Since then have had relegation battles every season apart from probably last season and they were deducted a load of points, they were canny last season.

We made 28 million profit in 12 months on him. This is what we needed to do to satisfy PSR. Whether he is great is irrelevant. We had to sell someone and our only other saleable assets are our first team players. This is going to be a common theme. Hopefully we don't fuck up as much as Chelsea and see top tier players like De Bruyne and Salah leave and then become some of the best players in world football.

I reckon if we offer Chelsea Targett and Jamaal Lewis in exchange for Cole Palmer they'll take it. He's not really a right winger but would be great to have

He'll be one of the best players in the league again this season. It wasn't a great game but I don't know how anyone can start making judgments in the game even the first 28 mins. A) It was the first 28 minutes of the season against a newly promoted but generally established premier league team B)We were down to 10 for the rest of the game so no chance to adjust etc. If we had not gone down to 10 men we would have blown them away in the 2nd half IMO once we adjusted to meet there impressive style. They'll do well this season.
