He normally does a lot. You could tell he wasn't right today. It is mental more than anything. He will be like this for a few games until he gains a bit of confidence around injuries in my opinion.

Maybe, but wouldn't you? If I bought something and it could give my current business exposure I would.

I take a lot of positives out of today. I tbink we might have got something if Shelvey had not done that. I k ow it is the rules but you can lunge in fairly dangerously and potentially cause serious injury and get booked. Put you foot on them doing know damage and it is a straight red. Those are the rules though. I guess it's similar in that you can batter someone almost to death and get less than you would for defrauding an insurance company out of a couple of grand.

I would quite like Wilshere. It is a punt based on his injury record but without his injury record we wouldn't be able to sign him. It is a punt but a worthwhile one as without Shelvey we have less creativity than a North Korean battle plan. -
He's saying he can't afford to splash £200m on players when that isn't what people want or expect, we need like £30m. We've spent 30 million. We need to spend another 30 though.

I don't think there is anything wrong with that interview other than it bein pointless.

Fair enough, re: the title role. His position was supposed to be central in the area of recruitment, yet we're still lagging Boro. Can't knock other & more ambitious clubs/academies for spending over above the minimum Cat 1 budget in order to entice families to move into the area, by offering a guardian a side-earner. Speculate to accumulate. Spear (with the six figure sum it cost to acquire him) flaming out, after he dominated in the younger age groups, and refusing to broaden the se search net because of his case & others seems small time to me, considering the palms (of agents) we have greased in recent years in order to get unobstructed runs at players with release clauses. Other than it being a total grey area and a bending of the rules to get around the catchment area ruling. Did Shearer have to sign professional forms in his mams conservatory because it was the only part of his house in the catchment area or have I just dreamed and then made that up ? Didn't Shearer play in nets at a trial day once and never sign for us until we bought him for 15 Million?

I dont think that his comments are anything to worry about. I would be more concerned if he said nothing.

Please.... Surely it's cheaper and just as effective to start with 10 men. -
It's not even July ffs.

Is that due to football seasons or something? April 1st is usually the start of the business year. Companies have many accounting period's I think it's usual then end of the month 12 months after the company was incorporated but you can change the filing period. Potentially the reason transfers are 'on hold' at the moment, though, yes? Not really, we would pay less corporation tax on this years tax bill than we would if we do them in the next financial year. Tax would have to be paid at some point anyway but probably not related. Unless we are going to make a loss this financial year so there will be no Corporation tax bill due and expect to make a profit then potentially we could save tax by doing it next financial year. -

Pardew: "We aren't at the level were we can compete with the likes of Huddersfield so we just pick ourselves up and move onto the next one" -
It'll probably be Tim Sherwood or they'll give it to an ex player.

All of our players who are likely to get a game bar Hanley off the top of my head have PL experience. Some may have been shit in the PL but they have the almighty PL experience.

Possibly an actual leaked shot of the kit, prior to any sponsor being agreed, and someone's shopped the fun88 logo on it? That's definately photoshopped on. -
A proper Liverpool transfer. Injury then reserves beckon.
