  1. Just another dwarf like Messi eh? Bojan is a quality player man obviously not as good as Messi but he'll be a top player in years to come. Bojan is rubbish. Just another Dos Santos. No way he'll make the grade at Barca or for Spain.
  2. Yeah, England's options up front is much better than Messi, Tevez, Aguero and Milito or Ribery, Anelka, Benzema and Henry. I did say apart from the Argies but Messi and Aguero aren't strikers. You may as well include Lampard and Gerrard then as they're attacking midfielders. Tevez? Couldn't get a game at Man U ahead of England's Wayne Rooney? Milito? No better than Defoe. Who else do they have up front? Anelka - never really done it for France Henry - That's one i'll give you Benzema - Good player but you wouldn't swap him for Rooney. And beyond them 3 who do France have?
  3. I know you're fishing but with the exception of maybe Brazil and the Argies, no other national side have the options England do up front. Presumably you're fishing too by not including Spain. Well I forgot about Spain but yes and no. Torres and Villa are possibly the best two strikers around but there's no-one else beyond that. The range of options England have, is better than anyone else.
  4. Defoe is nailed on for it now. It'll be him, Rooney, Heskey, Walcott and Crouch. Bent is a possiblity Michael Owen WILL make the World Cup squad. now that one isn't getting a bite Do you honestly think he won't? Like it or not he'll score goals for Man U and if you play for Man U then you'll make the England squad just for that. If he's fit, he'll be at the World Cup. Of course that's no guarantee in itself.

  7. Does anyone know what colour undies he had on for the match on Wednesday? And what did he have for his breakfast?
  8. And so the mood goes full circle again. Panic over.
  9. Michael Owen will be the new Andy Cole for them. Difference is Cole got 10 chances a game, without Ronaldo and Tevez, Owen won't get as many.
  10. Taylor might think he's got half a chance of breaking into the England squad this year if he does well for Everton in the Premiership and in Europe. In a World Cup year, he's not going to get anywhere near the squad in the Championship.

44,448 v Burnley in 2007 (their average that season was 31,000) If we can get 50k plus at some point it'll probably be the first time since Man U in the 70s there's been a +50k attendance outside of the top flight. What crowds were Man U getting that season? I.e. the average crowd and the highest crowd?
  12. Is Taylor a good replacement for Lescott from Everton's point of view? Lescott is clearly the better defender at the moment but Taylor is a few years younger.
  13. Aye it's not like we've been relegated or anything. Get some perspective people ffs. I bit again. What I mean is this morning = really positive - this evening = slit wrists. Its hard to keep up with the latest mood on this forum.
  14. Same as Shay Given, whose chance to go to a club going places came up and I don't blame him for grabbing it when he knew it might have gone by the summer. People mocked him "haha you're out the UEFA Cup, what a mug" well now we're in the Championship and Given will have a Premiership winners medal within three years so who's laughing? If we start to struggle in the CCC, and there's every chance, Taylor's stock will fall and he might not have a club as big as Everton come in for him again. Like Bassong, like Beye, I think he'd stay if the club wasn't being run into the ground but it is and why should he sacrifice his big opportunity to play for a club which is actively attempting to destroy itself? City won't win the league. A testimonial at Newcastle should have meant more to him than a Carling Cup, or whatever at City. If Shay didn't leave us in the lurch we'd have stayed up.
  15. FFS what is it with people on here? It was all positive this morning. Fans saying the feel good factor is back on the match thread after last night. Taylor isn't that good a player. He can be replaced and we'll be there or thereabouts at the end of the season. Plus he hasn't gone yet.
  16. All true unfortunately. Replacing him is going to be crucial if he goes. Especially with Beye and Bassong gone already. Danny Simpson on loan won't be enough.
  17. Brummie, what's your take on Carew's virus? Moreover, what's the problem at Villa? Why the lack of investment this summer? Are you as spineless as us when it comes to being clinical in the transfer market? Edit: Although, seems Vienna are just up for it more than Villa. O'Neill is clueless when it comes to pushing on to the next level. He's like Roy Keane in the transfer market. Only signs players he knows and has worked with and must have a crap scouting system. Plus they haven't got that much money to spend anyway. That's not true at all. A) How much money do they have to spend then? b) why aren't they spending it? c) How do you know they have big money to spend? They might have 20 million to spend give or take but they need 4 or 5 players.

    RIP sale thread.

    We have to replace Taylor.
  19. What did SSN say exactly? If we lose him Kilgannon would be a good replacement but Taylor would be a loss to the team and the club.

  21. Lost? ...is the missing word, yes. Apparently ESPN have got most of the coverage now. Sauce? I did wonder because La Liga wasn't mentioned on Sky Sport's September advert. What's happening with it? No concrete source, was just reading a Barca forum before. Haven't seen ESPN advertising La Liga either though, nothing on LiveSportOnTV either - http://www.livesportontv.com/football/ By the looks of it, Sky's rights ended in the summer, so the UK tv rights for La Liga are still up for grabs. ESPN USA have got the rights but not the UK yet. ESPN UK have the German, Portugese and Italian leagues, so if they get La Liga as well, then Sky would have no European football next season. I hope Sky get it because their La Liga coverage is excellent but I hope its sorted before the kick off. Looking forward to watching Barca and Real next season and streams as we know are illegal and forbidden on pain of death so it needs to be sorted for us so we can watch Ronald, Messi, Kaka et all this season lol.

    RIP sale thread.

Too easy. Too sensible. Too normal. We're lucky he hasn't let the club stagnante by not appointing anyone to manage us with the transfer window almost closed, and hasn't managed to sell the club. Oh wait... He's too rash and doesn't think things through. He reminds me of Del boy. "He who dares wins" as he goes rushing in and making another cock up.
