Id say its hard to judge him in such a poor team with no spirit whatsoever, the lad is 21 and in a new league. He's been put under a lot of pressure to score the goals needed to keep NUFC in the league, I think that's way to much of a burden for a young player. Him and Perez have suffered badly. I can't see Ashley sacking Charnley.

Aye he made those comments but then he has released his latest interview absolving himself of all blame, apparently you have to align the sun, the moon and the stars to be successful... It has nothing to do with hiring garbage like Denis Wise, Joe Kinnear x2, Colin Calderwood, Alan Pardew, Derek Llambias and promoting a pleb like Charnley. Not forgetting all garbage players that have been picked up from internet searches. Yeah its pure magic how teams are successful.

It really all hinges on Ashley and Charnley, if they can persuade Rafa to stay (teee hee) with guarantees of him being allowed to tody the whole club up from top to bottom then I think a promotion can be had at the first attempt. The most likely outcome is Rafa will be off, Ashley will let the club drift and Charnley is totally useless. We'll end up with another scrap heap manager or some knacker promoted from with in. Ashley has burnt all his bridges and has lost all of the good will. I can see the club drifting on a downwards spiral.

The biggest problem.is Ashley, the second biggest is uber dimwit charnley. Ashley is going nowhere so charnley is must to go. He is a fucking cabbage. If he us still running things then it's fucked.

Yes, in our case it is Ashley to blame but the general point I made still stands - it costs a fortune to attend PL clubs regularly these days, at least if you follow a SUCCESSFUL one...if you live in an area of low wages and poor job opportunities you have little spare to spend on football STs - just look at some of the ST prices in the PL compared to ours and you will see that the only way we have been able to keep high attendances under Ashley is because he sells tickets BELOW the standard rate. If you look at the price of our STs back in the 90s, they were much higher percentage-wise than they are now in comparison to cost of living/wages ; we could charge more then because we had a better product that people were prepared to spend quite a bit of their disposable income to see - now we haven't and we have NO waiting list for STs... Just pure financial common sense. We we flying high under SJH and Keegan in the 90s then again under SBR in the early 00s stadiums were packed out. It's got nowt to do with living in a poorer area. Liverpool is a poor region of the country but always want to be successful. Nufc as well as SAFC have both been grosly mismanaged. Ashley cracks out cheap ticks as the product on show is fucking dismal.

You can't link the current decline of nufc to the regions decline of industrial production. The current decline is down to Ashley's lack of football knowledge and his poor judgement of professional people or lack of judgement.

If rafa doesnt stay which is most likely anyay, then Lee cgarnly will be left making all the crucial decisions. In my opinion it will be left to drift like 2009, we were just lucky that there was people at the club who gave a fuck at that time. We don't have that luxury this time I can see the club drifting big time.
