The side Fergie inherited hadn't won the league in 20 years. The side Moyes inherited won the league 13 times in 20 years. Well nar, thats not actually right. That same set of players have not won the league 13 times. I divvnt like skeletor but thats an unfair use of stats.

I suppose you can write cup games off, if they dont have an up turn in league form. I think they will bin him.

Reality sharp kicked in with defeat away to Debry and then everyone was smelling the coffee by the time we were dusted off Portsmouth and Liverpool at home...And that lucky 2-2 draw at home with the worst ever prem side Derby County.

Loads of top point earners out injured at the moment, this might shake the league up a bit.

Ferdinand's career amounted to nowt after NUFC. Hate to say it because he was a top man and a top player. Ok, he had a couple of good season at Spurs and was still highly regarded by the football press and media. Unlike some of the other players we have rid ourselves of over the years.

He is basically a small club manager on small resrouces. Once he gets given a bigger budget or expectations are higher, he cant raise his own brand of football to match. Small time clogger who has had some good results and a couple of good seasons with Bolton.

I think I was pro the appointment as we needed organising after the shambles of Souness and Roeder. I thought he would bring some decent cheap players in and start rebuilding. Obvisouly Ashley took over and didn't give him any money to spend and his football was minging. I was still annoyed when he was sacked in Jan. Thought they should have just seen the season out with him and made a fresh start. I remember the press conference, he was going tomeet Ashley and Mort to discuss players...ened up sacked.

That first season in the prem with Cole and Beardsley up front, we were smashing teams. Im pretty confident that if Neil Ruddock had re arrnaged Beaardsley face in preseason we may have started the season better and had a shout in the title.
