  1. He's fucking obsessed with him.
  2. Ollver Holt is so up MON's arse it is unbelievable. The shit he gave us after MON shat on us was incredible.
  3. Yep. Also, we were against Big Eck and loo ...... oh
  4. I reckon that's the only way out for FSG.
  5. Sky Bet have Nick Griffin as favourite for the Liverpool job.
  6. The problem with Liverpool is they're flirted far too closely with entirely losing their status of late. They're fallen out of the top four, and it's very hard to see how they can get back into it. It is still a big job, but whereas a few years ago, you'd think maybe managers of the calibre of Mourinho or Guardiola would go there, they're now a club is sliding away from its position of prosperity, and the only way to get it back is to spend a huge amount of cash. As they're hamstrung with the small stadium, and have just outlaid a load of cash on a raft of shite players, it's not difficult to see there isn't going to be much huge cash to spend there. FSG are not going to pour money into the club Man City style.
  7. Nice that, but surely it's going to be completely fucking pointless? It may be a fake, but the least believable thing about that being next season's Arsenal kit is RVP wearing it.
  8. David Conn ‏ @david_conn So Kenny Dalglish has gone and as of now, Fenway's Liverpool have no manager, director of football, head of press, or new stadium plan #lfc
  9. What a pity, i was loving Dalglish's slow destruction of Liverpool.
  10. Stewart Downing (no assists, no goals) and Andy (massive failure) Carroll in the England squad. Remarkable.
  11. CEO was on radio last night talking about the way forward. Everything he said points towards a younger manager, which suits me. Big Ron is nuts these days. I don't give a shit about anything people say about McFuck now. He's gone. Halle-fucking-llujah. Yo u can't imagine how depressing it is with a man like that overseeing things. re the person who asked about renewing season ticket. Probably not. I renewed last summer before McFuck came in, and missed loads of games (as, frankly, it was just too depressing to witness). This summer, I can't see myself finding the spare 600 quid, so probably not. Times is hard, Mrs made redundant, my situation not looking to bright either.
  12. Collymore has quite clearly not got a fucking clue. The last former manager Villa fans would want back after a season of McLeish football would be Gregory, who fell back on football not much better far too often as well. I think Collymore was taking the piss you divvies I bet he wasn't.

  14. I know I've said this before, but I am no modern football "OMG SACK HIM I WANT THE LEAGUE TITLE NOW 11!!!111!!!" type, and I'm not one for massive exaggeration, but I went to my first Villa match in 1973. and have been a season ticket holder for most of the time since then, and done the whole home and away all the time thing, too. I can recall plenty of shit Villa sides. 1986-7, our last relegation, was a dreadful side with a truly shit manager who didn't care. That was a terrible year. However, I can't really recall a single season since 1973 when we looked so anti football, so spineless, and so utterly free of ambition, compared to this season just finished. And that is why there is such unanimity amongst our fans on this bloke getting the chop, and is why i am so very, very happy again now. And on that bombshell, I am off to drink several pints of lovely beer and smile a lot.
  15. I reckon he was on big, big money, plus this is the last decent deal of his career (he's 31). i don't want him to go to Sunderland, as he'll end up playing RB all the time again, and he's miles better as a CB. I wonder if Craig Gardener gets dumped at RB all the time at Sunderland like he did for us for a season. I bet he was gutted to see pubehead rock up there.
  16. Cuellar and Heskey both played their last games yesterday. During the match - hundreds dressed in Cuellar wigs, masks and t shirts, after, Cuellar spends half an hour with the fans, giving out shirts, having photos taken etc. Heskey - apart from a few choruses of "he's Emile Heskey, he scores when he wants" which were entirely taking the piss, obv, everyone relieved to see the back of him. Nailed on for Sunderland methinks Wouldn't put it past O'Neill to sign Heskey either I hope Cuellar goes somewhere better than Sunderland, but I hope Heskey gets a 5 year deal there. I bet he does wind up there, too.
  17. Not really. We've had three top six finishes, a ninth place, and a hellish season just now. If you want to know precisely what the biggest problem has been the last two years, I'll tell you. Lerner and co, having thrown money at it, and had a strong manager who ran the whole shebang on the football side, did no wrong for three or four years. Then the manager left in spiteful circumstances, and they were left to "run" the football side themselves, and were shown up as woefully out of their depth. I bet we don';t just change manager, I bet you what you like we get a "football person" in at board level.
  18. I was looking at RTG last week, and they were talking about Cuellar and why he'd fallen from grace. One bloke said "not helped by that prick McLeish playing him at RB all the time" - totally missing the point that McLeish played him both at RB and CB, and it was "that prick" O'Neill who played him at RB all the time.

  20. Most important thing was to bin McLeish. Plenty still thought he'd stay. The fact they've booted him out less than 24 hours after the end of the season is to be rejoiced about (if you're me). Also to be rejoiced is Heskey has left the club. Honestly, could this week get any better?
  21. Also good to see none of that mutual consent bullshit. He's been "terminated". Good old fashioned sacked.
  22. That's not a bad list. Contrary to perceived wisdom, Villa fans wouldn't care about employing a former Blues manager. It is employing a manager with a record of shit football and getting relegated that riles us.
  23. He clearly owed Whelan something, I think Lerner would respect that. My concern with Martinez is I don't think he's strong enough to grab hold of the club, which is what we need. Lambert would be.
  24. Easily the best of the kids this season, he's definitely got a future. So long as he doesn't get filmed outside Gatecrasher on Broad Street trying to kick fuck out of the glass doors again.
  25. That's where we expect to be challenging, as should every club like us, you, Everton. We finished with fewer points than he finished with Blues last season, amazingly. Yh that's true but currently you cant expect that surely? mind you i didnt expect that before this season so i suppose you have a point.... We did manage it three times in a row till the season before last. His point is that we should be challenging around there, at least. The football this season was so spineless and gutless, it was never going to happen. At Norwich on Sunday, our fans were singing "should have gone down, should have gone down, we're fucking lucky, should have gone down", FFS. You can't expect anything, but what we got was abysmal. It's also Lerner's fault for making such a shite appointment.
