The Premier League is not the best league in the world by a very long shot. It is the best marketed league in the world, though.
  2. I dont get this post? Would you prefer Arsenal beat them? eh...yes. Considering our position right now I'd rather have seen Arsenal beat them as it would have given us a better chance to reaching Europe which by the way we are playing isn't impossible but knowing that it's Newcastle its actually a tad ridiculous to hope European football. Fuck that. Birmingham winning was a good day for football. Everyone always bleats on about how only the big clubs win trophies and the fact the media would have jizzed all over if they had of won. Also, having to hear the fucking cockneys moan on about not winng a trophy for 6 whole years - fuck, my heart bleeds. It gives other teams, like ourselves, that trophies can be won. It wasnt impossible that we could finish 7th, but i would be good money we wont. Birmingham beating Arsenal was fucking magnificant. *least convincing nodding of head since records began*
  3. No doubt we will hear some "the balance of power in the city is shifting" style bullshit some time soon, but anyone with even a decent section of a brain cell will see through that nonsense. I have to say, I quite like McLeish, so I'm less bothered at this silverware. Had they won it under Beelzebub (as we know him, Trevor Francis as others do) then I would have been far more upset.

That's assuming the fucking headcase ever manages to retrieve himself from the catatonic state he's doubtless got himself into at being more than 10 miles away from Man City.
  5. Defensive? Nah. My avatar has been a black square for this season so far to reflect my increasing doom with the way things are going. I've snapped out of it now, mind, so it's back to the big dogs. Hehe, just thought it was reprisal for your lesser fellow citizens giving you s*** because of the cup they just won. Ah, I get you. Nah. To be honest, it has been fine. I've encountered a couple of them today (I work in the centre of Birmingham, you need to go that close to the epicentre to have any chance of finding them) and was entirely magnanimous about it. They deserved to win. Fair play to them. We've won the league cup four times in my life time, and I'm young enough to have all my own teeth, I can put up with that. If they'd won the FA Cup, I'd probably have committed suicide by now, though. Our FA Cup avoidance for so long makes me very, very sad indeed.

  7. I can honestly say that the title race holds about as much interest or relevance for me as, say, a general election in New Zealand. That's to say, not a lot.
  8. Ferguson Aha, saw it reported as Bowyer yesterday. Would suit him tbf. To be honest, I'm still blaming Bowyer, the horrible little shit head
  9. Too right it would. Could happen, I think they'll get a good burnout at the end of the season. Nah, they're too decent defensively. Unfortunately.
  10. Horrible, horrible little racist scrote.
  11. Honestly, get a fucking grip, man. I've got to put up with the slack jawed fucking cretins in my face all shitting week about how they're on the march, how there's been a power shift in the city, how they won "the cup" etc etc etc. I don't want to leave the house.
  12. Ah, "The Horse", formerly a very, very close personal friend of a sidekick of Sirralan.
  13. It is unbelievably close, isn't it? However, honestly, after yesterday I fancy Blackburn to go down. They're utterly, utterly wretched. With all due respect, I hope your lot go down. Can't see it happening though. I can't, either.

  15. I speak Italian, and I can understand Spanish relatively well, purely based on the fact the two languages are so similar.
  16. ColiN Murray seems to be pronouncing "Mignolet" as "Mengele".
  17. Clattenburg is an absolute fucking joke.
  18. Got to admire him for his battling cancer, but I'm not quite so sure he's lovely. He certainly wasn't very lovely when he was volleying Eyal Berkovic in the head. Some people are very different when playing football, he just seems like a nice, enthusiastic bloke. I can get on board with anyone who has that level of genuine enthusiasm for football. He wasn't playing football in the traditional sense - it was in training.

  20. That's reminded me. Yesterday, Blackburn's following was the smallest I can remember seeing for a very, very long time. As in, possibly back to the mid 80s, when people had largely stopped going to matches.
  21. Fulham 56 percent possession at Man City.
  22. He's got a point, though, it doesn't take much not to be an ignorant bastard. Never, ever trust a man who shakes hands like a girl. Let alone one who doesn't make eye contact.
  23. From the minute the ball bounced off that lump Zigic and into our net in our QF against them, I just *knew* they were going to win it.
  24. The sad thing from their perspective is they'll probably beat Sunderland 3-0/4-1 or something next week and they'll pretend everything's OK again. It is truly baffling how a manager of Wenger's aptitude has done so little to address such glaring weaknesses. How many times is he going to let them fuck up before he actually does something about it? I think it has got to a point now where it has become a point of principle for him, and he's not going to do anything about it because to do so would be maybe to admit that all those people screaming at him were right.
